Should Suarez apologize?

He does owe the club an apology but a) if he does it i doubt he actually means it b) he probably wont anyway.

If he stays now and i still think its a big if, Should he perform to the same level on the pitch i couldnt careless. If he doesnt go this summer he will go next so an apology will only lead to him still leaving.

He might apologise in private but i doubt he would go public

But anyway, of course Suarez won't genuinely feel sorry if he ever does bother to apologise. We know what he's like, he's proven it time and time again. I think the majority of genuine Liverpool supporters know this.

The apology is more about the manager giving him a ladder to climb out of the very deep hole he's dug himself into. It's the best and only real option Rodgers has at the moment. It's an opportunity for both Suarez to save face with the fans and for the manager to have a reason for allowing him back into the fold. I've got a sneaking suspicion that Suarez is even more stupid than we realise (if that's possible) and will dig himself even further into a mess. The guy has the mental age of a toddler.

I personally don't care whether he ever plays for us or not anymore. If he does stay against his wishes, then its upto him if he wants to perform. If he starts up, I'm entirely happy to see him on the bench or out of the team for the majority of the season. It'll surely hurt him more than it will us. I'd happily take a 20mil loss on his sale price if it means we don't bend over for him and give him whatever he wants.

Where to even begin with this post...

You think that Suarez is out of order for wanting to end his contract early to suit himself but at the same time you think it would be fine for Liverpool to choose to end his contract early and sell him if he wasn't performing well or whatever. Is that not the most blindingly obvious double standard ever ?

- Player wants to leave an underperforming club before contract runs out because they not currently at a standard which meets his ambitions = WRONG
- Club want's to get rid of a player before contract runs out because they are not upto the standard required for the club to progress or they no longer want to pay his wages = FINE

Bottom line, you sign a contract you should stick with it... that applies to both player and club. The double standards fans have towards this is ridiculous. When a club wants a player out of the team the contract they signed with them is suddenly meaningless whereas when a player wants to leave early the contract is suddenly the most important thing ever.

The perfect example of this is Malouda at Chelsea, he signed a great contract with them and then refused to leave when the club wanted him off their wage bill, somehow Malouda got grief for this... its the clubs fault not his, they agreed to pay him however much over the duration of his contract so why the hell should he have to leave just because he's no longer good enough for them or they want to cut their wage bill ? utterly ridiculous.

It's also hilarious seeing Rodgers demanding an apology because Suarez wants to leave to further his career. How can he talk ? he signed a 3 and half year deal with Swansea in Feb 2012 and then 3-4 months later chooses to ditch them for Liverpool, he's a massive hypocrite... no two ways about it.

Rodgers wanted to leave once he knew we were interested and we bought out his contract to get him. No one has yet matched our valuation of Suarez so he stays whether he likes it or not :)

Right, but why should he apologise ? he doesn't have any say on how much another club bids for him.

Why would you apologise for wanting to further your career and play at a higher level ? surely Rodgers should apologise to Swansea for having ambitions to manage a bigger club ? the fact the offer for him was accepted has zero relevance, his desire to leave would have been the same had it been turned down just like Arsenals Suarez bid. He's a hypocrite especially when he comes out with his david brent soundbites about loyalty and respect.

I think Carragher came out with the dumbest comment in this whole saga when he said he should only join Real, Barca or Bayern as the rest of the clubs in the world aren't good enough for him... what kind of warped logic is that ? you shouldn't look to move up a level unless you can go straight to the very highest level ?

Why would we care about anything he did when he wasn't a Liverpool player? :confused:

Most Liverpool supporters know he's a **** and expect nothing less but he's an exceptional player so we can turn a blind eye for most things as most supporters of their world class players would.

The thing that's got our backs up the most is the crap he's come up with about not feeling supported and loved because that couldn't be further from the truth.
 
liverpool should have got rid of him while they had the chance, why on earth you would want your club associated with a racist rat is beyond me.

You're absolutely right, they just missed their best (only) chance to get 40m+ for him. They won't get that next summer.
