Yeah it's the small buggers you have to look out for.

Can't say it was fun when I was staying with my mate in Melbourne having to put gloves on to get wood out the shed for the fire just in case a killy death spider fancied a nibble.

The top floor of my house overlooks a park that acts as a pedestrian thoroughfare to the local high street. They nest this time of year and one of them is currently protecting it's nest in a tree right next to the footpath and is terrorising people walking by. I love watching it. Most are on their phones and don't even see it coming. Knocked a woman clean over the other day, she got up and ran away and it chased her as she screamed.

We have magpies in my road, but obviously nothing like as big or aggressive the Aussie ones - Most I've seen them do is dive-bomb pigeons on the roof opposite

Just LOL if you're not already on the plane. We're in Sydney at the moment actually - currently peeing it down like Edinburgh in summertime - so that's some information for you.
