What do you guys and girls think?

Should he sign a new deal or leave arsenal?

has his time for arsenal finally come to an end? can he improve?

Things have stagnated for the last 7-8 years tbh and cant blame people wanting him out.

I think out of Moyes and wenger, Wenger will be the first to go as i dont think he will sign purely because he hasnt signed already and his body language on and off the pitch suggests he is worn out of ideas.

If we can win the fa cup and he buys 3-4 world class players next summer including one of those a striker AND creates a plan B AND fix issues with injuries then i want him to stay.

this side aint far off from winning the PL title tbh.

You dont go half the season on top if you are a **** team and its ironic that our downfall happened as soon as our players started getting injured.

who knows where we would be on the table today if walcott and ramsey was injury free and thats just two players out of a hat full of others who have been injured a long time.

Mods how do i add a poll? a simple yes he will sign and no he wont is sufficient

Arsenal shouldn't be offering him one. They should start looking at new, younger, more tactically astute managers now and thank Arsene for the job he has done.

This.

Fed up of this season now. Sorry Arsene, I don't think you have anything new to bring to the table.

6-3 v City
5-1 v Liverpool
6-0 v Chelsea
3-0 v Everton

Wenger is finished imo. Some of that team arent even trying for him and those who are actually getting shots in on goal he substitutes them
interesting

and

Arsenal, pathetic. I remember being at the Arsenal 7 Everton 1 game donkeys years ago now. That was when Arsenal/Wenger were playing like the current Everton/Martinez side, flowing attacking football with a solid defence. Years on and Everton have had a top manager for less than one year and are already playing great football while Wenger, with years of experience, complete control of the squad and years to perfect a system is playing massively worse football, with a worse team, that costs over twice as much a season in wages despite the reduction in quality.

Stupid team, stupid players, crap manager, poor system, dodgy defence.

Nothing changed in 8 years, been moving away from how good we were, buying the wrong players. Bunch of midgets with the same type of abilities in general. We have no genuine pace/athletic players for the wings. As in Walcott, made of glass, a midget, no strength and no courage at all is the closest we've got. We have no one genuinely able to beat players down the wing. Sagna received the ball over and over again but if there was a fullback ahead of him he didn't once try to beat them, like Walcott it's a "that looks tough I cba'd" turns and passes backwards every time.

The defence was dodgy and Verm made mistakes, but Mert was out of position way way wider than he should have been almost the entire game, and the main reason Mert was wide right most of the game is because Sagna wasn't anywhere near the defence.

Fullback out of position, cb moves to fill the gap, next cb moves over, other fullback needs to move across. Sagna compromised the defence all game long by being out of defence.

Flamini was terrible marking runs in to the box, as was Arteta. Arsenal don't have the quality to beat big teams, we don't have any powerful/physical players in the squad. The biggest player is Giroud, who is a complete wuss, Walcott is the fastest, but again a complete and utter wuss.

People also completely over rate Ramsey, he made dozens of defensive errors when he was fit and his goals came mostly against, Cardiff(2), Swansea, Norwich, Stoke, Sunderland(2) with a solitary goal against Liverpool making up his entire quota of goals against good opposition.

Ozil is meh, Caz has been terrible for most of the season. We have no quality fullbacks at all and no strikers at all.

No. AVB seems to rub players up the wrong way. I'm really not sure who they should get but they need someone with modern ideas that knows when to change things and how to get the best out of their players.

if we really wanted martinez we could get him quite comfy especially if we get top 4. EVERTON wont be able to match our offer. heck we dont even need to break the bank to buy out his contract and we can even toss a few of **** players to everton for free

Why would Martinez want to manage a team in the Europa League when he could manage in the CL?

apart from the fact they're likely to overtake you at the moment and i'm pretty sure he'd rather do well where he is that switch to your sinking ship :p

lets face it. everton are a tiny club and will get knocked out on the group stages if they can even qualify and no world class player will want to join everton on 30k per week.

Arsenal have a better financial power, better stadium, more income and money then everton and a better squad.

Martinez at arsenal is a long term gig where he can win the CL/Title and compete with the big boys. Everton he will never ever compete for the title/CL.

no chance.

sorry but thats how it goes. money talks in football

LOL im neither here or there if Wenger stays or goes now. I just dont give a flying **** anymore about where we end up this season and whether or not we win the FA Cup...our season has been going from bad to majorly worse game by game. Sure injuries to our important players havent helped but we should have enough quality to compete with the likes of Everton today. But instead we got a half arsed attempt by Arsenal to play football.

Wenger, i have a feeling will wait till the end of the season to decide whether or not to sign another contract. Arsenal will always give him a contract no matter what, thats how much faith they have in him regardless of us winning sweet FA over the past 8 yrs now.

If we get both 4th and FA Cup then he will definitely sign, if we dont then i can see him walking away at the end of the season. I just hope we get a good quality manager in who can hopefully change things and our fortunes at the club...and get us some trophies and better quality players than what we have now.

Getting rid of Wenger probably won't change much. The problem is the owners and the board don't care. As long as we keep on ticking over and making them a profit then they have no real aspirations beyond that. Things will only change when the board and owners make a decision on what sort of club they want Arsenal to be. Is Arsenal a top club competing for titles, or is it a club whose only aspiration is getting into the CL and maybe fluking an FA cup win.

How can you aspire to win anything when no one cares (apart from the fans) if you fail for the same reasons year in year out.

To be honest i wouldn't be suprised if Wenger walks this summer.

I said very simply early season, it's a fluke, it's a luck of easier runs of games and some form and a lack of injuries(at the time). Luck can't hold out for an entire season, even more so when Wenger rides it. When you have no injures and are lucky in that regard some managers would protect the players, instead Wenger runs them in to the ground.

I had NO doubts in the slightest that our season would derail and descend into a top 4 fight, and frankly that is only this late in the season because Utd completely ruined their own season. If Utd hadn't gotten so much worse we'd be fighting for 5th, not 4th right now.

Nothing changed, so I didn't see why our season or our trends wouldn't continue. Sometimes you get easier games and put in a nice run of form, conversely that means a harder run of games at another time we'd do worse in. Wenger hasn't fixed or attempted to improve our system, set pieces, telling fullbacks to just occasionally play in full back positions, get a real striker, buy some physical players, buy top notch players.

Things he HAD 15 years ago, ability to spot talent(ready to go talent and genuinely top class players), full on attacking attitude, some defensive cohesiveness and maybe most importantly.... guts/balls/ruthless. I keep going back to, he sold Overmars and Petit to get good value from them and to buy Pires, a better player. That was ruthless as hell, cutting someone helping you win things for someone you deem even better.

Today Wenger refuses to get rid of Diaby, really think about that. He won't get rid of Diaby after like 6-7 years who has done nothing but take money out of the team and isn't actually good when he plays, but when we won things he got rid of two of the better players in the team because he saw room for improvement.

The man has been a completely different type of manager, and if I had to pinpoint it, 49 game unbeaten run. He took that loss badly, 4-5-1 was unheard of, not attacking everyone balls out. We lost some big games by big scores before then but never stopped or changed our style. After that we gradually went from balls out attack to 4-5-1 away from home at say top 6, to 4-5-1 away from home mostly, to adding 4-5-1 at home to bigger teams, then ultimately became a 4-5-1/4-3-3 team. But Wenger has never ever won anything or looked close to winning anything since changing system. He is not a 4-5-1/4-3-3 manager, the system has NEVER worked well, it's never been tactically cohesive, it always falls apart at important moments. He's fundamentally a 4-4-2 all out attack manager trying to use a system he isn't good at using and we've been unable to compete since he switched.

He should have walked 5 years ago and been fired or no contract renewed at the worst 4 years ago. It's a joke he's still at the club.

I take it you weren't around in the 80's when Everton were dominating then?

No, he shouldn't sign a new deal. He's taken Arsenal as far as he can so leaving on a high having won the FA Cup or a final low having lost will be it for him imo.

As for Martinez, he's destined for one of the big Spanish clubs not a tiny club like Arsenal.

You're my new favourite deluded Arsenal fan. In February you probably thought you would win the league.
