But, but, they get [a whopping] 40 hours of training. It even says so on their TV adverts.I'll gladly a pay a bit extra for this tbh, beats dealing with the box-ticking windowlickers that the likes of Currys employ.

Told that story ere beforeMy nice story goes all the way back to the 80s and I think there was only one shop in the country in London.
I rang for an item and then asked if they could post it but said no.
I kept increasing my P&P offer and got to £25 but the guy said no amount will get them to send it.
The following morning I got on a train and then on the Tube to Richer Sounds and bought the item.
While paying for it I said to the Manager that I thought it was disgusting that I'd offered £25 but they still wouldn't send it.
He then asked who had spoke to me the day before, couldn't apologise enough and I walked out of there with around £60 worth of stuff including leads and reel to reel tapes etc plus extended warranty.

Just make it up.Would love to shop there, but don't qualify for a card.
Not sure Costco is that comparable to RS, unless you're after TV's and even then Costco's selection isn't massive nor always the cheapest place.Costco seem to be the best now
I honestly don't think you're missing much now; fuel is about the only reason i've still got a card.Would love to shop there, but don't qualify for a card.
The fact there is a rep is a good thingLook on avf many have to go seek help from the Rep
Exactly what I had to do to get a good outcome.Look on avf many have to go seek help from the Rep
To be honest they would be the last place I would look if I needed something. I think of them a bit like John Lewis - you know you will get a good service, but usually the price is higher than the rest, so would only have a look there if there was a price match going on.
Such terrible serviceExactly what I had to do to get a good outcome.
Few messages to the rep on there and he suggested it, next day a new replacement TV arrived and they took the old one away.
They offered great advice, have never been pushy with the sales, and don't try and sell £100 HDMI cables.Because they deliver what you ordered? Or something more.
They used to be the gold standard for aftercare, my recent experience puts them equal to pretty much everywhere else now.
It used to be they would take it back without question and they would do the warrant claim. Now they just point you to the Manufacturer by default.
