Yeah I changed from ultra wide to the ilyama 40". It's glorious and it's made me a productivity beast.

Recently got a G-sync monitor for my gaming PC which allowed me to hook up 2 x LG 34UC97 screens to my Mac Pro. Have to admit it is a little overwhelming (excuse cable clutter):

That looks cool, what Mac Pro do you have?

@Spit thanks mate - It's the 6 core 3.5Ghz, with 512GB, Dual D700 graphic and 32GB. I brought it second hand - and it was in perfect condition so I was able to save a little money.

Attached to it I have a 1TB LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt™ 2 as a scratch disk which was expensive but really worth it imo

Lovely spec :)

Do you use it for design?

I use OSX with my 40" iiyama and with a powerful Mac its just a joy to use having so many programs open with no slow down at all.

@Spit - yeh it was a great spec that the last guy bought (his loss my gain) as I was keen to have the dual D700 cards but few people ordered the upgrade over here. I mainly use the rig for video editing and my day to day work (email, spreadsheets, powerpoint) - so I can have it all open and once and its all silky smooth. My poor iMac before just couldn't keep up.

Late 2015 iMac 27" 5K
3.3ghz i5
16GB Ram
512GB Flash Drive
R9 M390 GPU

Just arrived this morning, sold my early 2015 rMBP as needed more power and pixels :)

Feels nice and precise but small at the same time. I was used to the usb Apple keyboard with numeric pad before. Might end up going back to it as i already miss the numeric pad.
