You can selectively make Android look the same throughout its development too.

It's entirely fine that you want to try something different though.

So you're waiting for the Galaxy S III? Why not just go for the Galaxy Nexus now? As far as the software experience goes, it's the best you'll find on Android and it's as Google intend it, it hasn't been messed up by Samsung!

I don't like the camera (I do photography/video, so I would like to get the best camera) and the shape although not an important thing, I just don't like, plus my contract ends in a month or so and I would rather go for the latest phone with a new contract, which is hopefully the SIII.

I understand that, the main thing really as I mentioned before, is that I just want to try something different, (same way I got to Apple products) Ive had iPhones since the first one and I want to try out Android.

This is what just made me immediately think wtf!

Its been the exact same layout for the past 5 phones. Just gets boring after a while.

Apple designs its products so well that radical design changes per generation are just not needed, it's all about refinement and they've got to a point where it's so good that others, especially Samsung, have to resort to imitating it to sell its products.

Its still boring, its basically a list of applications, ever seen an android and you press view all applications and it shows the icons, thats iOS.

you say radical design changes are not needed, but they release one phone every year with such small upgrades yet charge £500 for it, just not worth it really.

My opinion :)

You know why? Because it works. My Mum picked up my iPhone having never used one and worked in out in a couple of minutes.

I'm pretty certain that "Stopping BiGT getting bored" wasn't high up Apple's design criteria.

When buying something, you think about yourself and how it will benefit you, if somethings boring to me, why would I care how others feel about the product all together? Fashion changes and so do peoples interests and likes, I'm not the only one who is bored of the iPhone, its a great device but if I am going to be paying hundreds of pounds for a phone, each year, I would at least want something different.

Just got hold of my very first Apple device! Haha. I remember ages ago thinking I wasn't going to buy Apple because they're expensive, but 2nd hand products are pretty cheap now and now that 16GB isn't enough, it was the cheapest way to get 32GB with a line out signal.

Managed to get an iPod Touch 3G 32GB for £55. Quite a fair amount of (light) scratches but I guess for the price I can't complain. I'm tempted to change the front screen though, as it's <£10 to replace it.
Although I can't use it properly yet as the headphone port only sends music to one channel. Have to wait for my amp to arrive in about one month!
