*** Show Off Your Apple Hardware ***

Probably posted a little too much recently but was struggling to juggle my setup into something I was happy with. Should be it for a while, unless I get some new hardware..

After various issues and a couple of repairs later, Apple saw fit to replace my problematic Early 2011 2.2GHz MBP (Apple refurb) with a perfect brand new Late 2011 2.4GHz model :D

Free HDD, GPU and CPU upgrades (albeit relatively minor) and a new warranty start date. Cheers Apple!

Hey Guys, So I am totally addicted to my iPhone and ever since have tried to get myself a Macintosh, But just cannot justify the price, I'm seriously considering flogging my HP ProBook 4320's
(i3 380, 4GB RAM, 300GB HDD)

Im Probably gonna get around 200/300 Pounds for it and was just wondering if its worth selling it and trying to get a Mackbook or Pro/Air, (Preferably Air) Not really bothered by speed just needs a long battery life (for uni) and a decent amount of storage space (huge movie man)

Do you recon I could pick one up for around 400 or less?

Thanks!

No. You *might just* get an '08 Alu MacBook 13' with a C2D for that.

The current Airs are all SSD and a use proprietary SSD so storage upgrades are expensive, and there's no room for an HDD. The older Airs that did have an HDD are best avoided for a number of reasons.

The 13" Pro would be nice aswell, SSD's are nice but its boot time over storage and i'm a storage geek (8TB in the NZXT Phantom Desktop Atm)

Any Chance of a Macbook Pro 13"/15" for less than £400?

The 13" MBP and the 13" Alu Macbook are essentially the same machine, the only notable difference being a Firewire 800 port on the 2009 Pro.

I sold my 2008 uMB 2.4GHz for £350 to a mate a couple of months ago. I'd have been asking closer to £400 for a general sale.

I've literally only had this a day so not done much to it, but wow the quality and design is far from anything else I have had, I literally got this because I wanted the best battery life for WiFi web browsing while at work so I don't have to carry the charger around on a daily basis, today I used it for a good 6 hours and over 90 minutes remaining I'm very happy with my purchase, again this is mainly just for music/films/browsing/remote access/email etc while I'm at work as I have a lot of downtime.

Things that I really like so far! Bluetooth setup, paired with my BB right away and setup my APN in a couple of minutes, can now get on the net with my MBP anywhere!

The touchpad is incredible, for a couple of hours I didn't even realise the buttons were intergrated into it, all the gestures and swipes are bang on, its a joy to use in bed unlike my M17XR3.

Many more things too!

Of course the cost is out of reach and not justifiable for many, I was like that! But my needs and lifestyle has changed and this is something I will take everywhere with me now.

I think this OS will grow on me overtime, right now I just don't know what I'm doing half the time but thats understandable, though everytime I use it, read guides I'm learning new things like shortcuts to better navigate the OS etc.

Just can't get the Dual-DVI cable to work above 60hz which is annoying as it cost a bomb and was only reason I bought it :/
