Show Off Your Dish (Picture Thread) (Rules added)

Hahaha she doesn't actually, but she is very talented, so I'll give her that.

Got my last remnants of coursework handed in, so in a fit of procrastination for exam studying I did a bit of cooking today. Just had the starter which was scallops, with scallop emulsion, dill oil, confit fennel, and pumpkin seeds.

 
And the main course:

Cod, black forest ham, cavolo nero, spring onion, garlic and saffron hollandiase

5 course meal for my OH as he won an award in work:

Pea purée, quail egg and chorizo

Butternut squash and pancetta ravioli in sage butter, topped with parmesan:

Followed by a cheese course.

Tasted lovely. The only thing I would change is the lemon panna cotta - much prefer vanilla and so I think we'll stick with that in future. I would also make a bit of a sauce for the lamb as I think that would've added a nice touch (I only used the pan juices to sprinkle over).

And for some reason yesterday I just really fancied making a meatloaf. The girlfriend thought I was mad but it's one of the dishes I used to have when I was younger (in the US) and had never made one before. Such comfort food, nothing special but it turned out really well :)

How's this for lunch eh, Pret's new Vegan Chilli soup, tastes so spicy, so good. Along with a Tesco slice of Vanilla Cheesecake for dessert.
