Got my last remnants of coursework handed in, so in a fit of procrastination for exam studying I did a bit of cooking today. Just had the starter which was scallops, with scallop emulsion, dill oil, confit fennel, and pumpkin seeds.

5 course meal for my OH as he won an award in work:

Pea purée, quail egg and chorizo

Butternut squash and pancetta ravioli in sage butter, topped with parmesan:

Cannon of lamb on parmesan risotto, spinach, roasted shallots and wild mushrooms:

Lemon panna cotta and strawberry coulis:

Followed by a cheese course.

Tasted lovely. The only thing I would change is the lemon panna cotta - much prefer vanilla and so I think we'll stick with that in future. I would also make a bit of a sauce for the lamb as I think that would've added a nice touch (I only used the pan juices to sprinkle over).

Thanks, I did put a bit too much coriander on top but as it is one of my favorite herbs I didn't mind

Very impressive! Here's a couple recents from me..

Sea Bass with Crushed Chickpeas and Carrots (recipe);

And for some reason yesterday I just really fancied making a meatloaf. The girlfriend thought I was mad but it's one of the dishes I used to have when I was younger (in the US) and had never made one before. Such comfort food, nothing special but it turned out really well

Made a chicken tikka roast this weekend - https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/roast-tikka-chicken/. Some improvements needed but it was bloody nice!
