So let's get this right, you are suggesting that we willingly install a keylogger onto our computers; good heavens! :confused: :eek:

Just don't use onlne banking, buy anything, type a password or write your address.
 
hmm i seem to be the only one tclicking a lot more as typing, why are people clicking so few times, never played fps & rts games :P ?

I trust them, and thousands of other people do. Its not a scam, and it doesn't log the keys anyway. You're right to be careful but this isn't a keylogger.

I find myself holding down w a s d and moving the mouse more than i click... headshot ftw, none of this spray and pray stuff... ;)

I've just noticed, with 22.67 mouse miles i have the most mouse miles on the team. :p
 
I just got addicted to TKC and ended up stopping on the PC longer than I really wanted to! How does mouse miles work for a laptop? Does it still count them up from the touchpad?

Only one way to find out. :p
I would guess it works in the same way as the normal one.
I'm not sure, but i think rather than the movement of the actual mouse it counts the movement of the mouse pointer on the screen, if that's the case it would be the same regardless of the input method.

Remember you need to setup up a different profile per pc, you can have multiple pcs per account but each must have its own profile. So if you have it on a desktop and a laptop they need a profile each. Its easy to set up, its just in the account options somewhere.
 
Joined :), I have the laptop and the main desktop, will the program only record clicks etc when I am logged in or will it work for any user?

Should work for any user, but people have had problems with the newer beta client on multi user machines, for example it doesn't seem to save the settings. If this is a problem you'll have to go back to the older non beta client, which unfortunately doesn't measure mouse miles. It does keys and clicks though. Its here if you need it.

Cheers for the help, I have the older version anyway, not too bothered about mouse miles but I will probably install the new beta on the desktop, I need freefaller to join now so we can compete again like we used to back in the tkc days :p

I'm surprised he hasn't joined up actually, he's often to be found in the dc forum where this was first discussed. I'll point 'im this way if i see 'im. ;)
In the mean time, get typing and get ahead while you can. :p
