****Show Us The inside of your Case!****

Now that does suck. I'm straight up to the loft with all my boxes!

Do you have a replacement for the 670? I was about to buy one and got a 7970 instead and saved a fair bit of cash too, I probably could have built a loop out of the money saved and adding about 50 quid.

I replaced the EVGA GTX 670 with an EVGA GTX 680... I understand the whole AMD being cheaper and more powerful atm but I just prefer Nvidia.

Odd me...

EDIT: I told her to keep the boxes as they where important and put them into the spare room, came in the next day looking for them and they had vanished.

Ah, fair enough. It seems our parents are very similar, Mine don't listen to me when it's important.

Very nice :)

I will give a small tip if possible remove the top 5 hdd bays & put an extra 140fan in the front of the case, doing so will take around 5 degrees of the running temps on the 680.

Running an R4 here with 2 fractal R2's in the front of my case one 140 fan in the bottom & an R2 as an exhaust at the rear with the top case fan covers blocked.

My 680 with backplate idles at 25 degrees and under load never gets over 60 degrees using the auto fan control in EVGA Precision.

Cheers :)

Just had a clean of my desk and PC and have since added a new GPU with a backplate.

Am I allowed to just link to an album or do I have to add the photos on there own?

Here is a side panel on/off picture anyway.

Yeah, I have another AF140 in the front too but don't really mind the temps on the GTX 680 as it will be staying at stock anyway.

Working on it being silent at the moment as it is in my bedroom. Also, taking both of the drive bay things out of the R4 is a right pain because you need to take the front panel off and it always unplugs the fan controller.

Can you send me a picture of the fan profile you use in Precision/Afterburner?

Just undo the 2 thumbscrews on the top cage and it will slide out parallel towards the open side of the case & keep the bottom cage as its fixed with four screws on the underside of the case.

Like you I want my R4 to be silent as its in my bedroom too, it will be quieter if the top cage comes out as the air from your top front fan will not be obstructed by the hdd cage.

My 680 is running at stock too.

:)

Swapped my 79xx for a 680 GTX to have a play and so far I'm liking the Nvidia card a lot. Apart from some annoying virus the card has been superb. Excuse the cables at the rear they are on the list..

Thanks pal:D
It can get quite expensive especially when you start putting GPUS into the loop which i intended on doing if i ever find a block for my card :(.

Brilliant looking build.

I have the same card and apparently since its not a ref PCB chances of us getting a waterblock are slim to none :(

Do you have plenty of room for your RAM ? as I'm thinking of getting this heatsink, what RAM are you using ?[/QUOTE]
In a word no . I'm using the corsair vengeance jet black and the cooler covers all but 1 of the slots ,. It was an easy fix though I just removed the heatspreader , they come off pretty easily if your careful . Memory doesn't get very hot if any hot , if they do the fans take care of that .
