They seem good so far yes. They certainly are quite. The 120 at the top is the stock one from the back which got replaced by the H80 fans, that is ever so slightly louder than the AF140's, but then it is only a 120 so is spinning faster. :)

No not yet.

Heres Real temp, playing BF4 for a couple of hours earlier, granted it doesn't max out the CPU 100% but gives you an idea. I think it goes to about 70 on full load off the top of my head... (Edit: temps are with Corsair link set to the quite profile)

BTW, just FYI Coretemp seems to randomly crash/freeze Win 8.1 64 bit. RT doesn't. - http://www.alcpu.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=2569 - Thought it was the overclock at first!

If i had the room, I'd have one of them over the 300R, Love the look of the 540. :)

Thanks mate.

If I uncross them the CPU block will sit sideways yes ie the corsair badge will be sideways on ?

Also the corsair fan is a 3pin ( connected to the CPU_FAN )...can i just run in off molex as the cpu is sitting at about its rpms are about 960

or lol should the pipes actually be at the bottom ?

I would set it up like this.

If you prefer the pipes at the top then maybe like this.

You can just plug it into a Molex although if your motherboard supports it you can setup a Fan Curve so that when your CPU reaches a certain temperature the fan will speed up to give more airflow. Which means its quiet when idle and a bit loader but better airflow when under load.

I thought the pipes were supposed to be at the bottom, read in the manual when i installed my H80i its to minimise air in the block I think it said?

Nice looking build foster grant, that's in an Air 540 case right? Agree with the other guys about the crossed tubes but you've already mentioned your on top of that.
