My gaming HTPC...

Its now got dual Viper push pull, knocked a few degrees off :)

Probably would knock more off If I had them up higher but with the amount of air they move it sounds like a wind tunnel in my room at full speed :D

I changed from 2 x Akasa Vipers in push/pull on my H70 to 2 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850rpm fans. Dropped my CPU temps another couple of degrees, and push MUCH more air. Also a lot quieter believe it or not

Definitely think they are far superior to the Vipers. Only downer is they are not PWM fans, but a fan controller sorts that out

Hi

Just out of interest where did you get the clips to use the 140mm fans?
Theyre the standard clips supplied with the megahelims, the 140mm fans are still only 25mm in depth, same as a 120mm fan, though the 140mm fans protrude over the cooler edge a bit more. If you wanted to fit a 38mm depth fan youd need wider clips.

Hows the noise at full speed for the typhoons? I'm thinking of replacing the stock H70 fans. Even though I'm only running them at 1600.

I know, it's a shameful disrespect to the pc.....

But pretty sure it's just a mac screen with a display port out connected to it

Hehe hate to say it but its not ;) I have a Dell U2410, the iMac (using it as an iMac for music, not as a PC monitor ;)) and then a little samsung syncmaster 710n for temps etc (connected to the PC). The dell is shared between the PC and the mac (which I use for logic express mainly).

Here is a slightly outdated photo I took before watercooling and I now have a boogie bug mouse mat under the keyboard and mouse ;)
