****Show Us The inside of your Case!****

I quite often use my headphones and speakers at the same time but sadly the D2X doesn't allow me to do that (at least as far as I am aware... this is the only issue I have with it nowadays). As a result of that I just run with the supreme X-Fi from the motherboard, allows me to use both at the same time when I want to :).

fair enough mate, but may i ask why would you want to use headphones and speakers at the same time :confused::D

I like having music running in the background pretty much all the time, and if I'm playing a game and using voice comms I much prefer having the game sound / chatting going over the headset and the music on the speakers (or other combinations) rather than everything muddling together on one of the two. Maybe that's odd but I have preferred it this way for quite a while now :).

Also having the voice chat going over the speakers irritates my housemate sometimes (she doesn't mind all the other noise from games and likes ambient background music).

My humble contribution:

Cable management isn't incredible on the Lian-Li but there's certainly room for improvement - I'm just considering whether to put a SB build in here or not before I lock everything down.

Overall I reckon it's a great case for the mATX purpose.

Finally finished with a working 5850 installed....

Flying_Hellfish, very nice. I love these little Lian Li cases. What's the ambient like for that size of case?

Nice, MOOGLEYS. That twin fan silver heatsink is very sleek. It must be really quiet? A pity the other Radeon cards never came with those plastic protective covers.

Its noisy as hell until you configure it in afterburner as the fans run at 55%. It came with protectors on all the slots and rear connectors its a nice touch..

Specs are in sig. First time I've ever built my own computer.

Have I got the CPU cooler facing the wrong direction? The only intake fan I have is next to the hard drive bays. Temps seem ok the way I have it at the moment, but seen quite a few people who have their cooler facing downards.

How come the two soundcards?

Was wondering the same why have 2 sound cards very strange?

Well by the looks out it you have an exhaust fan ontop of the case, heat rises so I would position the CPU cooler so the fan is blowing up towards that. (If it's possible with that cooler)

There is 1 exhaust fan at top, and 1 at the rear of the case which is directly opposite the way cooling is facing the moment (180 degrees in other direction basically)

do you mean you have an exhaust fan in front of your cpu cooler blowing air away from it?

If so, turn it around - that way it'll be sucking in air from outside the case to feed the cpu fan with and aid cooling :)

front to back is usually the best way to aim the cpu cooler as you're not sucking the hot air off the gpu to cool the cpu with...

This is how the exhaust fans are positioned:

so the way I have it at the moment, the rear exhaust fan should be sucking air away from the heatsink and out the back.

Something like this (speedstep enabled):

That's with the stock fans and the Arctic Cooler. I do have a Tuniq tower however this literally JUST fit inside the case seemed to actually impede airflow. It also caused horrible vibrations!

I totally read that previous post wrong lol... yeah you've done it right - for some reason I thought you had a fan in the 5.25" bays blowing out the front

There I go, being retarded again!!

Just the one intake in bottom half of case:). Having only the one intake fan, and putting it where it is, does seem a weird design though. Cooler is a long way from where the only air intake is. However, my temps have been fine so far so will just leave things as they are.
