Two machines I've just built for a friend;

I've had a lot of fun figuring tidy cable routes in these Antec 300s, I think I've done alright.

No choice of orientation with the Vengence stuff unfortunately.

I know it may not be ideal, but temps are fine (40c full load on the 2600k, 57c full load on the 970).

You have got me thinking that perhaps I should swap the rear fan around to an intake.

Was forced to update my rig this week aftera failed PSU took mobo and CPU...RIP the Q9550!

Anyway, here's the new stuff: i5 2500K @ 4GHz, 8GB XMS3 (9-9-9-24-2T 1600MHz), MSI P67A-G45-B3, Corsair HX750W.

The rest remains as was.

Old HS (Ultra120):

I was going to say... because they are evil. Especially on Lian Li. Your case is far too sexy for stickers. They are eveeeeel!

Stick it on the aluminium corner just above the hard drive cage.

Out of curiosity, what's the temperatures like with that new heatsink/fan?

Whoaaaah, Where's the colour? :D

Idle/general running temps range from 35 to 45 really depending on what software I use to check lol. I don't think they're all Sandybridge compliant yet but in game I've not seen temps go above 61/2 yet.

That's with the Zalman fan controlled at about 65% via a fanmate.

There are way too many cables which need to go through that first mobo-hole next to the PSU. Knowing the gromit was never going to go back in place after I'd got the 24pin in place and not being totally anal about it but also not wanting to cut it off; I decided to keep it in place for any rebuild, so I left it there.

You might say I couldn't be arsed.:p

And why not, works for me all the time.
Kids(my kids are all grown up and left home by the way) say Dad money and I can't arsed to give em any :D:D
