Nice bike. Even though I have a Triumph, Kawasaki is my favourite bike manufacturer and most of my bikes have been theirs starting with a KMX 125 back in the late 80's.

Yer it genuinely scares me haha. Thought you'd approve :D

I'm only 5' 8" and its a little tall for me. Came with some dog bones though so might drop it an inch, may get used to it though I guess.

yh it looks a bit high for stock to me,maybe they are the original dog bones that came with it

nice sensible machine imo

Just picked this up yesterday after passing my test on Wednesday.

Sorry for the crap pic, was so excited i actually forgot to take any when i got it back and its tucked up in the shed now. Its VERY different from my 125 obviously :p

2005 Kawasaki Z750. Only 9000miles on the clock. Lots of history with this one ;)

Sc project can, givi fly screen, r&g belly pan, tail tidy with small plate, pretty mint. Not keen on the small indicators though, have all original parts too.

Chuffed but not had chance to play with it yet this weekend :( Damn family, mainly a commuting tool really anyway.[/QUOTE]

Nice. I would want to change the mirrors though, you could see through time with those bad boys :D

The MOT tester wont like you with the tail light if your not using normal indicators

The MoT tester will be presented with my Mille with the OEM indicators refitted and db killers fitted to the open cans. He gets the pleasure of looking after my bike in this state but once a year until she returns to me with a fresh MoT certificate and I return her to her 'correct' state. :D

Why? I thought you just needed the central reflector, which can be stuck on when MOT is due.

I wouldn't bother refitting the baffles, they'll probably pass it anyway

Good man haha! I'm in the process of fitting my tail light on my sv with the build in indicators but will be keeping the After market indicators also

On the indicator thing I think the rules state they are required to be a certain distance apart or something. I'll just stuff the OEM ones back on along with the reflector and barn door sized number plate.

As far as the baffles are concerned, I kinda do it as a matter of courtesy to the fella I get to MoT my bike whom I've been going to for years. Takes a few minutes to fit 'em anyway so its no biggy.

I can't really use the OEM indys very easily because of the twin high mount exhaust system. They have to be mounted on metal stalks which drop them below the cans and they look gash. The integrated unit does the job nicely and I was surprised to see just how bright and noticeable they are in operation. But the law is the law and all that.

Very true. I must say you have a lovely rsv! Not thought about getting some nice shorty levers?

Any problems with the bike, as a lot of people have slated the aprilia's for being unreliable?

Thanks. Not keen on shorty levers to be honest although I was tempted to give a pair of those Chinese knock-off ones a go just to see how they were.

Aprilia's, unreliable? Nope. There's a reason they are known in some circles as 'The Italian Honda'.

Utterly reliable and the Rotax 990 V60 engine is completely bombproof. There are of course little common things which go wrong with them that are well documented on various owners forums but they are all fairly easy fixes. They need an Optimate to keep the battery in tip top condition (but what bike doesn't?) and mine has ate three speedo sensors and two starter solenoids during my ownership. I've done the sidestand bypass mod, brown connector mod and dipped/high beam mod, all common tweaks. Service them regularly, lavish them with love and attention and ride them hard and they are the best v-twin superbike for the cash available. The prices Gen 1 RSVR's can be had for just now makes them an utter bargain in anyones eyes. I've owned this one for 11 years and it still keeps up with the latest tackle on the road with ease.

Oh......and did I mention the noise?? :D

Actually looking at it you may be right. Looking at the pillion pegs in relation to the rear wheel.

Its booked in for a check at my local garage on Tuesday so they'll be able to tell me anyway.

Very nice TripleT, bit gutted as I was going to do my DAS earlier this year but instead got sided by a moronic cager! bring on July!

no worries mate, open wound fractured tib & fib on my left leg ~ 4 months off work.
Bike was written off, but was just cosmetic so got the bike back and £700, spent £500 doing it back up as need it for work.

Thinking about getting the wife one of these:

It's possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen- the photo is virtually life size :D

I think it'd look great alongside the S1000RR...
