A slightly moist trackday last month.

Got Mallory on Friday... more rain forecast. Great.

Im so glad i passed my test last year and bought my bike straight after. Cause theres so many nice bikes out now that it would have been very hard to pick. I currently have a Honda Hornet 600 ABS (10'plate) but theres two bikes out that look awesome:
Triumph Tiger 800 XC
Honda Crossrunner

Finally got round to fitting the set of carbon ear deflectors on my first gen RSV, 2000MY. They are genuine carbon deflectors which were cosmetically damaged and a bit beyond recovery by wet and dry sanding and laquering. So I decided to carbon wrap them using 3M adhesive carbon textured wrap. Turned out pretty well although they obviously look different to the rest of the real carbon I have on the bike. Still, was a cheap way to do it.

They won't be to everyone's taste, some folk prefer the "cleaner" look of the early Mille's, but I'm quite pleased with the looks and how it turned out. Took longer than I thought, measuring the holes and getting the deflectors to line up the same on each side took a lot of patience ( and swearing :p ). I was skidding myself to actually start drilling the holes in the fairing but it wasn't too traumatising in the end.

Anyway, pictures of the finished article. As I said, some folk may not like them but different strokes for different folks, eh??!!! :-

I hope you have a pillion seat cover as its a mot fail to have the seat with no pegs im afraid (as i found out to my expence )

I asked a friend the other day who does mots after reading your post buddy and he said bulll**** and you should have asked the tester for proof ... you have a link to say different m8 ? then i can go and tell him bull**** :D

Just bought my first bike in 8 years, a 2006 ER6N, 11k miles, scot oiler and has the ABS (think it was an option for that), I pick it up on Wednesday, I cant wait!. Its my get me back into biking bike, taxed to next Feb, MOT till next april and a 6 month warranty, for £2850.

Will post pics when i pick it up on Wednesday.

Its the fact that the bike can still carry a pillion but has no footpegs . i will check up but it was on my lads nsr125 . the rear peg was damaged so i remved them both .. if i had a pillion seat cover it would be fine but because it was still a 2 seater pegs must be fitted . btw how you doing ??

Persil

when I got the trumpet MOT'd my mate said same, I had taken them off as I have no back seat and look hideous, he said it would need them if I came to MOT and there was a seat but no pegs, but would pass if had pegs and no seat

That was my understanding too - ie single seat or cowl and you can remove the pegs, otherwise you have to keep them.

I suspect, like pipes, its down to how strict the tester is
