(and don't worry the tinted windscreen will be going ASAP)

My Winter Hack/Retro Rice mincer

1987 on an E, Honda NS125FG, 11k up it but it's probably had more rebuilds than Liza Minellis face.
Guy before put new head/barrel/piston/little end bearing/new chain & sprockets/tyre/some cables/bulbs for the MOT in June & did 150 miles on it, I've done 60 miles on it this afternoon. :D
It's a right little screamer although I am running it in at the mo so I've not thrashed the knackers off it yet, Handles brilliantly through the twistys & hasn't got a single piece of chrome on it anywhere so Perfect as my winter hack.
Starts first kick, runs mint & handles brilliantly & all for the princely sum of 620 of my English pounds & it cost me 50 to collect it for van & derv so it stands me in 670 quids.

Just got this beast last week.

1985 Honda cb100. Up to 100mpg, £16 road tax for the year and £60 insurance.

It will do me for my 14 mile commute to and from work. Painfully slow though and I have to admit to being slightly embarrassed while riding it :)

My first bike was a 1985 CB100 back in 1989.
I had it delivered to the training centre and the first time I got hold of it to get it off it's centre stand I dropped it!
It's was fast enough for my 30 mile ride to work on a combination of city streets, motorways and unlit country b-roads, through sun, rain and snow.

Kinda hoping mine will manage the same tbh. Lights are very underpowered though so im going to be a bit nervous taking it out in the dark for the 1st time. Its also missing the mirrors, I have them ordered so hopefully will have them by mid week.

looks great, they look like the lights i sell :) (bikevis)

That would be because I got them from you! Cheers btw. They work pretty well, just need to re-route the cables a little better as it's quite bodged atm... The square electronic box of tricks is in an odd position along the system isnt it? I couldnt work out what those extra loose wires were for either

Good on the whole :p

Glad you like them, they are dam bright. As you probably guessed I dont' make them so i'm at the mercy of the supplier. Though designed for cars in mind they are perfect as bike aux lights. You could always shorten cables to tidy things up abit.

The extra wires are for other functions like dimming and for switch on before engine start, but it's best to ignore them and cut them short / tie them up out of the way.

That would be fine, then just tape or heatshrink the ends up so no chance of the conductors grounding to anything. Just leave enough in case you ever wanted to use them though.

I blew my 2 stroke up a few days ago, I'd done 173 miles in 2 days & was giving it some licks when it nipped up. + + :p
I rang a few mates with vans, nobody was about so I rang RAC & told them I was on my bike, Dude turned up in a mini Transit, We messed for ten minutes & then he told me he had to go & get the trailer & he'll be back in 75 minutes
**** that I said & started to push it home, Cut a long story short it took me about an hour & fifty minutes of hard slog to get home. :( A couple of lovely people stopped to offer help but there was nowt they could do but let me get on with my slog.
Next day it was a strip down to see what's what, Rings had done one & the top of the piston is messy, Hands up it's all my fault for not checking the mixture properly before I started to rattle it. I had a new front tyre stuck on & just wanted to do my 20 mile scrub in before the rains started, Once out I got carried away & killed it. :o
When I bought the bike I got a new piston/rings/barrel with it so tracked down a head & a gasket set & set about the rebuild yesterday/today.
It's all back together now & put together by me & I've been out on 2 small runs just to break the rings in, Starts first kick & sounds mint.
All the fun of a 2 stroke but I've set the oil pump myself now & I'm confident in my rebuild so hope fully that should be it for now & I can get on with enjoying the power band. :D

Ah right. I had one of those years and years ago. It was my second ever bike. "F" plate Trofeo Classic edition in dark grey and red. I recall there was a small restrictor bung in the exhaust which if removed helped free up some power.

;) I'm saying nowt.

Been out on the bike a few times now for the initial run in of the piston/rings etc
I'm going to have a little check of the nuts & bolts then I'm off out for a nice ride. The weather this year has been Awesome for bikes.
