*** Show us your bikes! ***

Nice to see a few 'birds in here. The blue one a fair few pages back is lovely :)

Here is my first bike, a Aprilia RS125 Tuono, which I swapped the bars over to a set of RS bars, which was very good fun!

I had the Tuono for a couple of months after passing my test and then got offered this RF600R at a great price and I completely fell in love with the looks. Others hated the looks but it was my baby, shame it got stolen, then recovered, repaired, upgraded with lots of new kit including a k5 rear shocker which completely changed how the bike handled, and then stolen once more never to be seen again :(

Then I had to find something cheap and economical to get to work/uni and so I was forced to buy this lovely Blackbird for an absolute steal of a price!! It has a lovely Yoshi 4->1, a new Givi DB screen (which could do with being a bit taller, any suggestions?) and a few other bits rack, box etc to commute with.

Here is my current bird, if google allows me to show it to people not using bloomin g+, I hate the way they have changed the photo albums etc

Nice. Cracking bikes, very underrated. Are you new to Aprilia ownership?. If so and you have any questions at all, fire away. Mine is an RSV but the Falco shares many of it's traits. There's not much I don't know about Ape's or the 990V60.;)

Good call there

My RF6 took me some nice places, 3 years and 3 tours, south of France, JOG to LE run, and a France, Austria, Germany etc trip. Sold it end of last year :(

Couple of pics from the last trip, all alone for this one. The RF didn't like the altitude but other than that it didnt miss a beat. :p

Are you on the RF forum? I'm sure I nearly bought your bike as I remember the non standard colour and stickering!

Haha, yea im on there :p

Spoke to the guy that bought it last week, he's been commuting on it every day, only problem he's had was the starter solenoid! He had a good buy for £700.

:D

Great looking bike madman. Do you mind telling us how much you paid? I will be looking to get back on two wheels again in the next year or so and trying to figure out how much I need to save :)

Lovely bike Madman, my Dad used to have one exaclty like that and he put 22,000 miles on it! he loved it.

Enjoy it.

Not at all. Just under £5k :)

Madman you seem to be collecting bikes these days!

I'm still not getting on with the Gixxer really :( Great for a quick blast out on a weekend but I definately couldn't tour on it. After 30-40 mins my legs and wrists hurt. Can go for slightly longer if I can maintain a speed of 60mph+ though :p

It's too road focused aswell really. I found I wasn't appreciating the scenery as much as I used to on the Kwak (which I sold before Xmas).

I'll be selling the Gixxer in the not too distant future. Will test the water on Pistonheads in the next few weeks :)

I agree. I never liked the style until recently when they started growing on me.

I wasn't too taken with the standard looks of the Triple myself, but this one has the belly pan, fly screen, gel seat and seat cowl which I think looks great :) Also a BOS Carbon exhaust which helps make the back end look better. Sounds awesome too ;)
