My new toy, V Twin 1000cc Beast!

05 Aprilia Tuono R, 10k miles full history etc.

I'm now a convert to V Twin engines :D

As far as I'm aware it's the F4 yeah and yeah somehow we have as a lot of the one's on autotrader that I've seen have been like 2.5k with a much higher mileage :D

I've looked at untold bikes over the last month & Both of you have done well for those bikes with the mileage they have. Same as mine really for the 2k mark there's loads out there with 20 - 30k up'em for 2500 quid. The way I see it all 3 of us can put another 15 - 20k up'em & still get our money back. (As long as we don't throw them down the road that is :D)

Have to say it's Excellent seeing all these new bikes & actually knowing & sharing the buzz.

May as well chuck a couple of my latest pics in here. :D

First 500 miles clocked.

V power is like Marmite you love it or hate it I had a TL1000s freddie cruger I loved it but only had it just over a year due to a crack in the frame appeared common with the early TLs.

Got my first bike bike today! a 2002 Suzuki bandit 600s(Faired). First time being on anything other than my 125 shadow and my god it was fast!

50 Mile home journey in the pouring rain from Edinburgh wasn't the nicest it could have been but otherwise rode all the way home with a massive grin on my face. Its not fitted with a restricter tho and I don't think im going to bother as I've spoke to a few people who got their license and didn't bother going for a restricted bike for the 2 years. What do you guys think?

Anyways it will hopefully be dry enough to have a little go out on it tomorrow and take some of my own pictures :D But here is the add picture and details...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Suzuki GSF 600S Bandit £1,650 Livingston, West Lothian. For Sale 600S Bandit (2002 K2 model) MOT'd till Feb 13, taxed till Nov 12, new rear tyre, scot oiler, acumen alarm, heated grips, recent service & clutch, great running bike. Excellent condition, 13000 miles £1,650

If you want to lose your license as quick as your bike go's!!

Not worth the risk

Yeah suppose I should get one fitted but how are the police suppost to know unless im doing 100+ which I wont be going near?

No matter how fast or how slow you are going you can have an accident & it would probably be at this point when they checked your license & saw that it was restricted they would then check the bike.
I wouldn't do anything to risk my license now I finally have it & my bike all legal on the road & I wouldn't want anybody riding with me that was illegal.
I bet the bike will still get to a ton quick even with a restrictor kit on although that is a guess as I don't really know.
(Just Googled & a 600 Hornet will do 0 - 60 in 6-7 seconds & will do a ton.)

Really don't want to put a damper on your buzz mate but I have to be honest. :)

A lot of insurance companies ask for proof of restriction when you take out a policy.

If you crash and they find your bike isn't restricted then they will not pay out.

I asked when I got my insurance and they said they don't need to know anything about that and that it doesn't affect my premum. Not botherd if I can do a ton anyways as I would lose my licence anyways even if I was restricted. Just the £130 which my local would charge me which seems like a rip off :(

If you have a restricted license and ride an unrestricted bike your insurance is basically void :)

It'll most likely still do a ton even when restricted anywho ;)

Edit: Just as a side note. I don't think there's a legal requirement to produce a restriction certifcate. Easy to forge etc, and it only states that there was a restriction kit fitted at some point, not that it's actually got one now. So if the restriction kit was easy enough to fit I imagine you would be fine to do it yourself.

The one on my old ER-6f was a little module you plug in under the seat and 1 single screw in the side of the engine near the throttle. Easy peasy :)

Get the bike restricted.

I got pulled on my GSXR a month after my restriction expired, and the arse of a copper made me produce the restriction certificate for my PREVIOUS bike! One i didnt even have any more!

No there is no legal requirement for a cert, but personally i got the kit from FI International, so if i got pulled with or without the bike restricted, all they needed to see was the cert. Saves arsing if you get a copper who wants the bike inspected. (Ive heard that happen to one or two people, needless to say the lost their licence)

Also, if it restricts anything like my ZX6R did, any copper who knows anything about bikes will know if its restricted or not just from revving it. The bike ran really horribly when it had the washers in the carbs, and would really struggle to rev above 9k, so was pretty obvious it wasnt full power.
