Get it restricted, thats what I did with my GSXR, it lasted a month then I put my full power ECU back onto it ;).
OK not exactly a legal thing to do, but I never got pulled as an 18 y/o riding a 6k sports bike so didnt seem to matter.

It might matter if you got into an accident with a pedestrian or sumink though, since your insurance would be void.

Well phoned up my local today about getting the kit fitted and they said they might have one already so thats great. But then they said the price... £130 just for the 4 washers wtf? and £50 per hour of labour? So anyways I went down to see at around 2ish and they were shut, waste of time going all the way down there but I got a bit of fun comming up the back road home :D

Is there anywhere I could buy the restricter and myabe get them to fit it or is it legal to fit myself?

There is no legal requirement for the paper tho? There is a dyno near my mums which I could use if I ever do get pulled.

Only bad thing is that I don't have paypal :(

Well I tried to go down again today and they were shut but then I thought of another garage that had a mechanic who fixed bikes on Saturdays so I took it down to him and asked him if he had a kit and could fit one. He said he just took out one from a bandit last week and I could use that and he would fit it right there and then for only £70 for labor, no charge for the stupid washers :D He also topped up my oil and readjusted my front break for me free of charge :D.

The only thing now is the bike isn't running quite the same, pulling away is a pain in the arse now as it just stalls :-? :( I have to give it quite a bit more rev's. Could it be running rich/lean or something? :( Stalled it three times at traffic lights where as before It would pull away gradually and safely where as now I have to give it quite a bit of throttle. Another thing is when the bike is ticking over and I twist it fast there is a bit of a delay before it revs up?

Anyways I took it a blast down large and up over the heely bray, not much of a difference on acceleration and seems to run normal 10 mph+ cornering is so much better and easier than my little 125 and tallest I have a bit of power to over take bloody tractors! :D

Here's some pic's after I got back and gave it a little clean :)

stiv121 Your scott oiler tip is not aligned correctly buddy the tip needs to be on the outer ring of the rear sprocket just off I can see were it has been bent in wards to much.

Im not really sure what you mean there .one, I had a good look at it today and I think it rests near the outside of the sproket dripping onto the outerside of the chain. I'll check it again tomorrow just to make sure tho and I've never had a scot oiler fitted and im not sure how it works :P Been to busy out playing XD

Edit: I think in the picture it looks like its going through the sproket?

It will probably be Ok there if your receiving oil to the chain but if you look at your picture you will see the rubbed mark on the outer area of the rear sprocket where it has been rubbing before.

That is the place I have pointed mine in the past but if your happy where it is and oil is reaching the chain then fine buddy :)

ps: also your chain would look much cleaner than it does if working efficiently.

For a 10 year old Bandit that is in damn good nick, especially when you bare in mind Bandits are notorious for corroding at the first sign of moisture, & i say that as an ex Bandit 12 owner & one time member of the Bandit owners club, some one has obviously put some time & effort into looking after that bike.

You've got yourself a nice set of wheels there fella. :)

Yeah that's the reason I got it, it was the first bike I went to see aswell :D it's had 5 owners tho so I was surprised in the condition. :)

5 top owners then... nice to see. Nice one! Lovely looking bike... was the same one I seen only in red today... looked custom though as it had a pearl to it!
