Those Aprilia's are twins right? What's the torque difference like compared to the single cylinder Husq's? Both 450's too right?

The Marlboro is my brothers old bike, he had two indentical ones for wet and dry races and were SXV 450s.

The Monster is his new bike and is an SXV VDB (Van den Bosch Replica). Awesome bike and not many in this country.

Not ridden one in anger, but they sound amazing and are very revvy for a twin.

Here's a vid of one of his races.

Have the cg125 about a year. Used it just about everyday to get to and from work, great workhorse (pony) of a bike.

I picked up the zxr6r on Tuesday. Its a 2004 with 10k miles, absolutely immaculate condition. Feels great being on a proper bike for a change. I was originally going to go for a zx12r but when I went to pay for the insurance they realised they had made a mistake with the quote and more or less doubled what I had to pay.

REX!

Well went mad today and sold my Bandit 650 for a ZRX 1100.... I must be mad...

Needs a service but rode fine taking it home. Big single head light conversion = headlight not working so hoping it is just a bulb issue. Should be fun taking it to the kawasaki dealer and watching them rinse me me but hey needs must.

Piccies!

I hope you got some knocked off for the duff headlight & needed service then, or did you do your usual & just cave in with a token haggling gesture?, either way, i hope it doesn't need shimming cos they'll have your pants down if it does. :D

Oh & nice bike! :)

@ Brackish. I like it but you do know your going to get your face ripped off by the wind don't you. :p

Impulsive yes, yes I am lol :D

I hope the service wont be too bad, got £300 ready for it haha!

Going to get a bulb tomorrow and check the fuse box to see if I can get the light to work.

@ 4T5: The wind is no problem! Just tense your neck! It only gets bad after 100+ from what I have read and been told.

Ps the Rex pulls like a train, came over a roundabout onto a dual carriageway and it does just want to try and rip your arms off but then that's what Renthal style bars are for

Oh and have to say I think my LED indicators are a bit weak so will be looking to get some brighter ones.

And last but not least..... Anyone want to buy my new reg plate? It is G20 OGS. Might do one of the valuations online to see what I can get for it so i can out the money into some batter tyres:D

Ps I have no idea why there is a spare bolt hole! time to start searching lol

BMW R1200GS

After getting back from my ride to Italy I decided I'd had enough of sports bikes (for the time being at least). The fireblade was great fun to ride, but I started to feel uncomfortable over the longer distances, something that didn't happen a few years back (getting old, sigh).

So picked this up today:

And so far loving it! :D Comfortable, and so easy to ride! It was a choice between this and a Ducati Multistrada. The Multi was a great bike, but a little to quick for me. In comparison the GS just seems so much more relaxed. I'm looking forward to getting to know the bike over the coming weeks.

never been a fan of these sort of bikes, mainly coz im too short to get on it ;)

BUT after seeing these pop up on the long way round stuff that ewan mcgreegor did, am def a fan now and have been for a bit, ,

Nice bike ;)

Yeah, I too wasn't a fan until recently. I had a go on my father's multistrada and it all made sense. Comfy, handles well, just perfect for the road. Plus, on most of my trips abroad we end up going along very poor roads, for which this bike would be perfect. A few years back I was riding in Austria through some mountain passes with a couple of other riders who were on bikes like this. The route we were taking was not a well travelled one, and at one point the tarmac just disappeared and was replaced by dirt and grass... Going over that on a sports bike was certainly an arse clenching experience... Of course the guys on the adventure bikes had no problem.

Enjoy the bike SPP - I've done 2500 miles on mine and absolutely love it. Awesome piece of machinery - how old is it? Twin cam engine?
