A little teaser ;)

Well after waking up at 5am, bus to the train station at 6am and the train at 7am I finally arrived at the dealership at 10:30 to check over and pick up my nice shiny new sv1000s then started the 200m ride home in nice warm costa del uk weather.

Parts on order:

OEM fairing lowers :cool:
Black levers
R&G tail tidy
1ltr bottle of acf-50

Hopefully it'll all arrive in time to fit next weekend although I really want to let the acf-50 set in for 24 hours before I put the fairing lowers on.

Initial impressions are I love it, the sound, the torque and quite liking the fairing after only ever having naked bikes :p
 
My dad had one of those with the exact same exhausts on.. sounded awesome :)

Enjoy it mate, must have been freezing on the ride back.
 
Ooooo Puze!

I want I want!:D

After a ride out today I seem to have a fetish for small nasty technical B roads rather than nice big A roads so if I am still the same in november this year I think I will be shopping for a v twin or a VFR. It seems I prefer the power to be lower down rather then the 8k on the CBR 600 f I have. All part of the learning curve and I must say big thumbs up for the CBR... Hmm VTR...

The exhausts do sound awesome without the baffles in, gives me a nice warm rumbly feeling in my stomach :D

I paid 3.4k with 6k on the clock and new tyres/service, mainly because I really wanted a black framed one, if you don't mind a silver framed one you can pick up a bargain for around 1.8-2k

Ah nice...

Will look great with the lower fairing.

I have been looking at these as a first bike but I probably shouldn't really spend more than 1.5k I guess. I am terrible at finding bargains though and even sheds seem to be more than 1.5k.

Nice! Always liked the Z1000 and Z750 (Z800 looks **** IMO). However, they've always been a tad under powered for what they are, 750 more so the 1000 isn't too bad.

I want something a bit more sensible. Than the daytona was being a tit on it and was far to easy to do silly speeds. New engine just gone into the daytona then being picked up by a mate on saturday.

I cant help but think those sv's look like they forgot half the fairing

In the weeks I've been window shopping for them, I've seen a good few pop up for around 1.5-1.6k that look in good nick from people that just wanted a quick sale, if it's your first big bike though I'd probably be looking at the sv650s though.

They classed it as an "optional extra" so I've ordered a set as they look so much better with lowers.

Woops, completely missed it was the thou! I would be going for the 650 for sure. :)
