Why do wake-boarders wear shorts over the top of a wetsuit, it never made any sense to me. And in that photo I am wearing shorts, no need for a wetsuit!

Yup, just a couple of weeks ago. It's a reservoir so it's not gonna have any sandy beaches and palm trees

My dad has a topper at a resevoir ive sailed a few times, not really my idea of fun though.

The lifeboats are another matter though

I sail Topper Topaz's, and my folks have a Lark - with a tennis ball ensuring the mast is at a different rake

You should see if you can crew on a faster boat, it will change your mind

there will be people looking for crews at your dads club.

Something like an RS500/800, 29er, 49er, Laser 4000/5000, will knock your socks off on a windy day. They're pretty exhilerating.

yea i missed the

on the end of that comment.

1) no one likes to look at sausage. (We let surfers off tho as you deffo need the movement, shorts restrict you a bit.)
2) protect your wetsuit. I've gone through countless board shorts from falling on poorly built/maintained obstacles; yet to make a mark on my wetty.
3) Wakeboarding has a "bad ass/rude boi" image that we like to maintain.

Not strictly a boat but it floats in the water so

My new board. Picked it up today, gonna be next week when I can use it and I can't wait. Two weeks at home with nothing better to do than hit the waves.
