Nice, I love narrow/long boating. All happened by chance as well, decided to hire a boat for a day in Wales. Really enjoyed it, so peaceful and relaxing and nice tieing up near a pub for a lunch before heading back.

So tempted to get my next holiday on one of the ones at Falkirk, go to Glasgow then to Edinburgh before coming back to Falkirk. Takes about 7-8 days.

my mate did that. he has his boat at anstruther, went round north Scotland down the west and back this way.
