Much better than a boat. Though I sailed lasers for years and they were great fun too!

The techno is such a horrible board!!! Mind you the RS:X isn't much better - I slaved my life over racing and I didn't really get anything other than fitness out of it!

Sell race kit and get a longboard or slalom kit, wise advice from an ex junior/youth racer ;)

This is my old mans from the last time we were out.

Its a North Wind 47, he's currently going from Scilly Isles across the Bay of Biscay to Spain, set off at 10am this morning, two 68 year old men on a boat, gulp!

There’s a very picturesque river that runs right next to my apartment block. I can paddle right out of town and to a nearby village where I can drag the kayak out straight into the beer garden of a very nice pub/restaurant.

My Mrs has always wanted a canoe, are these any good? As the hull doesn't sit down in the water like a solid one I get the feeling that they might just blow about like a Skegness dingy!

It's fine, very stable and easy to use. It has a weight limit of 350lbs, but it took a friend and I with a combined weight of nearly 450lbs with no problems at all.
