*** Show us your Dogs ***

My Vizsla took a sudden dislike to Alsatians, so I have to put her on lead whenever I see one.

She is absolutely fine with anyone and everyone, but if an Alsatian/German Shepherd comes up to her, she sort of does a weird screaming bark and lunges at them (she has never bitten one, or any other dog)

Just put on your best Arkwright voice and say "Pleae excuse her, she's Hungarian" :) Nice dog, I like all Hungarian breeds, had Komondors for 40 years, lost the last one about 4 years ago.

He’s 18 months, thought we were past this now.

Yes I know, our fault for leaving in reach.

We used to have a box of disfigured remotes, I have no idea whey they are so drawn to them, maybe they smell of their master, maybe they see us fiddling with them and think they are therapeutic toys? I just know I have spent far too much money buying replacements!

Nearly £50! Yeah he has a thing for them, he usually just chills in the living room and only grabs stuff out of his toy box. My mrs has a habit of leaving things in reach and I have to tell her off for telling the dog off when he grabs things he shouldn't, dogs don't know any different.

Ours used to chew almost anything. As he has got older he isn't so bad and we do give him durable toys like rubber bones and tennis balls. But today he decided that my leather gauntlets were more interesting.

Luckily we have a cocker spaniel and he doesn’t chew anything except his chew toys. He’s exceptionally well behaved

We have a GSD and a Boxer. The GSD needs a muzzle when out, she has been brought up in a family home as a family pet, loved and enjoys cuddles. But in front of strangers, she is a completely different dog, guards and protects. You can not get close to my little girl or me when walking. We have tried all sorts to calm her down with strangers but I guess it's their temperament to guard and protect. I have to be very careful when walking her.

The Boxer on the other hand is fine with strangers. He needs no muzzle and is very friendly with strangers and other dogs.

Poor Maddie got spayed today.
Can't say I had a great night worrying about today, but she's home now, looking a little sorry for herself.

Once she recovers, it's finally off to the groomers.

Interesting day. We had the hairdresser here for my wife and her friend from a few doors down. The friend comes here with little Gracie. She and Max get along despite their size. Then we went up the street to collect Ozzie. Lovely dogs.

How do you deal with your dogs after muddy walks?

I gave her legs a quick wash down in the bath with just water. Didn't want to use shampoo because I only bathed her 2 weeks ago.

Jet of water from a hose pipe then a rub down with a microfibre towel. They're so used to it now they expect it and usually just stand there without complaint. Older dog gets a drying coat put on after but younger ones just zoom around a bit to dry off :-)
