What is he like around cats?

I would love a greyhound, but I have 2 cats.

One day I will get a dog. Waiting until my lifestyle allows plenty of space and exercise though. Would love either a Huskey or other mid sized Spitz. Ideally though I would want a Huskey/Border Collie cross.

Good for you! :)

It's encouraging to see this sort of attitude. I had to wait 8 years for my circumstances to be good enough to get ours

I've wanted a dog since I was a kid, but I know that dogs need space (and especially the breeds I want). Hopefully in the not too distant future, me and the GF will move to Canada which should allow for an outdoors lifestyle with plenty of exercise and space. i could maybe even get a few dogs and get a sled. :D

Anyway, this is the dog I want;

How cute! :)

Here is my dad's new dog Troy a Rhodesian Ridge-back with out the ridge. He is a 3 year old rescue. Sorry for the poor quality photos, they were from my phone and at VGA mode :o

Awww he looks lovely.

As Kahn said it's not uncommon to have ridgeless ridgebacks but unfortunately many are culled for this reason :(

Here's my new dog, I just got him today! 8 week old Golden Lab called 'Rowdy'! Apologies about the camera quality (shoddy blackberry).

Well here we are 6 weeks later and this is Rowdy at 14 weeks...

He's literally double the size he was when we got him and he looks completely different now! :)

It looks like some fur was cut from his side there. Did he roll in gum or tar or something? Or is that just a shadow.

You are correct, he did roll in something, I'm not sure what exactly. It wouldn't come out no matter how much washing we did and it eventually turned almost solid (but still clear like a piece of plastic almost!) so I had to eventually cut it out. Nearly filled in completely now.

Yeah, Mika-monster did the same thing. It took months for the fur to grow back in properly.

Almost the same place, too. The hind leg looks strange because he was blowing his winter coat. What a mess!

Yeah it has taken a while, this happened about 5 weeks ago now, and is just starting to even out properly! I'm intrigued by the location of that picture, looks like a pool at a zoo or something! Awesome looking dog by the way.

We were in the process of filling our pool, getting ready for the summer. We had to drain it so we could paint the upper tiles.

Mika loves to cool down in there, but he doesn't voluntarily swim.

Some sort of tree sap/resin?

Speaking of Spitz, here's a new photo of my German Spitz Mittel called Theo.
