By far your strongest piece so far and I really like it. I would say though I'm having problems focusing on the piece, I know it's not finished but I think nipping this in the butt now will make it stronger.

I think its where the spider head use to be, my eye is drawn down there with the lighting but I want to look at his head. Maybe slow down on the render there and gradient the lighting out and bring the focus back to the head. This should tip it towards the perspective. The right arm down there is also lost in the values right now as I'm sure you are aware of.

Also the presentation is so much better on these than the older pieces, just simple and clean.

Just my opinion remember!

Thanks for the positive comments :D

I agree 100% Meekon, that's exactly the kind of critical feedback I need :)

I definitely have issues with the arm, I didn't notice it yesterday when working on it but it was glaring at me(or not as is the case) when I woke up. The face needs some work to bring it out some more and into the body.

I however wasn't aware the armour on the abdomen was drawing so much attention as my eyes go right to his chest, so I'll definitely have a look at that!

Thanks again!

It freaks me out when I come back to something the next and see stuff sticking out. I always hate the feeling when I realise its crap ha.

Keep it up, pretty sure you'll walk into a job at the end of Uni with the effort you put in. Make sure you don't burn out, I did and had to recover for 6 months before I went to another studio!

2 images here -

This is in my kitchen. It is actually a lot bigger now but i dont have an updated picture. They are German phrases and sentences combined in words.

Looking good Lance, I seen the rest on Facebook. Could do with more of a colour palette as its all appearing black at the moment.

Modelling looks sweet, I never have the patience for stuff like that.

Dark_injection, the links are broken.

Loving all the artwork so far, been a long long time since I have drew/painted anything.

Seeing this has made me want to get back into drawing again. :)

Bored at work, so went back throught last 3 pages, and you guys/gals are just awesome at drawing etc.

always wanted to learn to draw, as ive always loved looking at drawings of dragons.

There was a thread about learning to draw that was started purely because of this thread, might be worth having a search as it had some good links in if I remember correctly, shame it never really took off as well as it could.

I tentatively post my first ever doodle. And I used my finger like a toddler. It's a bit unfinished but I don't know what else to do to it. Not sure how I can add a background now. Turned out a bit too sinewy?
