Tidying the garage up a year ago

which fits with 10cm gap each side through the door and just enough space to open the drivers door and get out. With the shelving unit at the rear I have about 15cm to play with that normally gets split 10cm rear and 5cm front. Despite this it's actually quite easy to manoeuvre in/out thanks to parking sensors and rear camera.

Since done this top quality mod to stop the door getting scratched!

There was already a rather fetching bit of carpet on mine, I actually quite like it! I wonder if it was in the house at some point?

I live in pretty much constant envy of our neighbours double garage.

I would love a garage big enough to actually work on the car in with the door closed! One day. When we buy a place I'll really try and get a double garage but we might not be so lucky. My fiancee is amenable to it though. She wants a nice kitchen and I want a garage, outside of that we're pretty easy!

So my dad came over today and we got loads done, got my shelving up and got my rear parcel shelf done in the car. I used one bit of MDF to replace the 'worktops' on my bench with 18mm, put up some more board inbetween the empty shelf uprights to hang some more bits, and to do the parcel shelf in the car.

Still plenty of room around the car to get by which was my main worry. Don't want to be knocking a load of stuff of the shelves on to the car!

If my car was modern it wouldn't live in the garage, but they're so stealable it's ridiculous so she lives in the garage with a crooklok. Also she's not totally watertight, I'll be a long time looking for replacement rubbers, until then she is somewhat leaky. Doesn't actually leak leak unless she's moving, but still. Got to fight the rot.

Love the chair. That's definitely on my list... garage big enough for an armchair or sofa.

Finally got on the property ladder about 18 months ago, the guy there before obviously had a bit of spare cash and space so threw a garage up:

That was when it was clean and tidy, bit more clutter and gear in there now but still a nice space to be and plenty room to work on the bikes.

I love a good garage. My number 1 priority for when we get a bigger house. Mrs can jave everything else as long as i get a decent garage.

My best mates garage is the size of my house, he had 4 cars in it at one point and decided to turn it into his personal gym and now complains he aint got nowhere to work on his car lol.

Not mine, but wouldn't mind something like this, weekend toy, daily and the only thing missing would be an S15 with 2JZ swap for drifting. :p

I've just got a typical single garage at the house, used as a workshop and full of parts/tools with no chance of getting a car in there

Workbench that I made myself (10mm steel plate for the worktop, pretty sure that bench would make a decent bomb shelter!)

Portable toolbox that usually goes with me to track events and contains all my day-to-day tools

Pillar drill, press and 'metal store'

The big toolbox (plus a spare engine) and racking full of parts etc.

Where I actually work on the car...

I also rent a lockup a few minutes down the road but it has no power and is just used for storage (the race car lives in there when I'm not working on it plus my stash of wheels/tyres is down there)

Mk1 MR2 very nice, i miss my old one. You still running the AW11 or did you shoe horn a larger unit in it?
