Hi all,

Me and my partner are looking at getting one or two cats. We are looking for them to be indoor cats, inside a fairly spacious apartment.

We're looking for a breed that is social towards humans, and happy to be indoors. We were thinking of a couple of ragdolls. Are there any other suitable breeds?

Pedigree cats are often really nice but I'd still suggest getting a couple from a shelter / rescue home instead. There are so many cats looking for great homes and a lot of the social / friendly part of cats is how you are with them and what home you bring them up in.

As long as they're raised from kittens indoors any breed should be fine.

or anyone else that owns bengals?
we took on harley in full knowledge that bengals can be a handful
We found harley to be quite a "personality", he dosnt do sleep much, cant leave anything on worktops shelves etc unless you want it on the floor unusual fascination with playing fetch with bottletops and flushing the toilet, he is also very intelligent and learns very quickly from watching our actions(doors cupboards, switches, taps etc).
he comes to you on his own terms when he wants cuddles and petting, no chance of catching him any other time
he's chilled out a little bit since we got him neutered, definitely more social.
But dont get me wrong wouldnt change him for the world, love him to bits, he's certainly quite a character and keeps us on our toes!!!

in fact we love bengal ownership so much we are looking to get a companion for harley in the very near future
