Show us your kitty cats

I've been meaning to post this for weeks now, we discovered something called Car-pet If you have pets and carpets then its worth its weight in gold.

We only have 1 carpet in the whole house, on the stairs and thus our mogs like to lay on it when ever they can. I brush it every week now with this thing and I am constantly staggered and sickened by how much hair comes out of it. See gross pictures for details :)

Its then a simple hoover job, we have an animal rated hoover which does a decent job but this thing is on another level and the carpet looks brand new afterwards. Just be careful as the rubber gets a few weeks old though as it does seem to vulcanise and can leave a mark on stair noses that needs washing off. You can get 4 for £16 from amazon that will last about 8 months and gives you a bit of a work out with it :)

If you think you have got your cat hairs up try a hacksaw blade - hold each end in finger and thumb and draw towards you - it's hard work but you would be amazed at how much hair is embedded in carpet - We only have short pile carpets so can't say if it works for more shaggier pile.

Also try going different ways as I have found carpet has a right way to scrape.

I have now set a blade in length of hard wood as it's easier to pull.

Very cat like, good job. More to the point, why did you capitalise the first letter of every word in your post but not your title?

This is awesome, thanks for posting. Been looking to solve this exact problem! I have carpet all over the house though, so I'll probably be going through them quite quickly.

@TrixiBuG, Hope Peanut turns up safe and well.
