Show us your kitty cats

"I've never been a cat person".

I used to say that, and now I'd probably kill for my little darlings :p

Enjoy being a cat person :) may they bring you many years of joy.

when i first found them i contacted the rspca and they had no interest and i did not realy want the task of taking on kittens so young but 4 weeks on and me and the mrs doing feeding shifts every two hours theres something quite rewarding watching them run around playing

Much rep to you mate. I suspect you will find that your dogs will not be a problem.

Many years ago I had a large German Shepherd who really hated everything and quite a handful yet i too came upon a dumped kitten and I can tell almost from day one she had the dog wrapped around her paw, it was an incredible sight. It was far more than he did not see the kitten as a threat but that the kitten was down on her luck and needed a bit of help. Silly I know but the kitten/cat ruled the house and woe betide the dog if he did not shift from her favourite chair ETC.

i have two jack russells and so far they have been pretty good exept they want to join in on play time and get a bit over exited and try to roll on top of them

Big thanks to you from a cat lover myself. What you're doing restores faith that humans are inherently kind and considerate. Take a bow fella.

How long did the mother leave them alone for? Not criticising but she may have come back for them once she'd gotten the other one safely stashed somewhere.

I left them out overnight and nearly all next day, I could not leave them any longer due the cold plus my dogs would probably have killed them and I get foxes roaming at night

The girlfriend and I have just moved into our new house so we have just got someone to share it with. We found this little guy at a local cat rescue charity and we couldn't say no. Everyone meet Bernard :D

Took the cat outside tonight on the lead as she's been wanting to go out since we had her home.

She seemed awful twitchy out the back garden which is only half way cut down since it was reallllly overgrown. She was better out front and when walking along the street seemed to be keen for it.

I think they say at least two weeks in the house before letting them go off themselves though?

R.e Vets and insurance since we spent about £6-700 on my parents cat near the end. The SSPCA suggested petplan lifetime insurance so if something does crop up then it isn't just covered for that year only. Anyone here got bad things to say about petplan?

I used a vet that uses my bike shop so will chat to him once I see him but he hasn't been in yet.

Let me refer you to petplan and I can get you two months free! :)

Might take you up with that. Think sspca give you a month free but two months is better than one!

Just go with pet plan. Pretty much most people recommend them. They're insurance for pets, not an insurance firm that does insurance for lots of things. They always get good reviews that they pay out. They're not the cheapest but why cheap out on your pets health?
