He's yet to grow into his ears I see :D

Sigh, the brother has been brought back to live with me and they are both super hunter/nervous mode around each other especially with the brother looking for weakness in his sister so he can pounce her. Worried about Monday thinking it might be better to work from home so I can keep both company.

The difference in size between them though! :o

Poop report: nothing from either in 24 hours.

I have 2 cats living in my appartment, 13 year old Burmeses which have been together since birth. They used to be outdoor cats but my dad was between houses so they had to come stay with me. They've been here for a year now and seem happy, although I think they would prefer a nice sunny garden to roam in again.

The problem is they both have medical conditions. My dad is not capable of giving both cats the attention they need (they both require special foods, and multiple medications at certain times of day. Mixing/forgetting any of this could be very bad for the cats). For this reason I am contemplating letting him have the most adventurous one, while the more sleepy, attention seeking cat can remain with me.

The question is though, will splitting them after 13 years cause them much bother? They sleep together often, but this could just be for warmth. They almost never fight so on the whole they get on really well.

I think it would be best to move him but not if it will cause them lots of grief.

They definitely show grief. They can react to such a separation, especially after so long together - as if one of them has died.

It took one of my cats ~6 months to get over the death of her brother after he was run over.

I wouldn't split them.

A lot of Tabbies have 5 or 3 strips running down the back of their neck, tears markings and M marking on forehead, my Mackerel Tabby has them. I've noticed some Cheetahs (King Cheetahs) have same marking too. Mutation of a single gene causes stripes to become blotches, and spots to become stripes a Stanford research report found.

Need to get some recent pictures of my three up here!

Peanut and Kiwi have birthdays in November - Peanut will be two and Kiwi will be one!

Sushi was 2 years old in July and has become very lazy since then lol!! I am still amazed at how well they have all adapted to each other and quite often when I come home they are all squished up together in one bed!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Got up this morning to slurp and slop and crunch - Ronnie has got another rabbit only this time he is dissecting it - 10 min later he trotted in through kitchen - down hall and went to bed - we went shopping and when got back went to pat his head and it's covered in fleas - loads and loads all round his left ear. - Dabbed him behind head with flea killer and tried to pick them off but he won't keep still.

Will get pointy nose pliers out later when he comes on my lap and try and crush any I find - my fingers don't work these days.:rolleyes:

For me this morning Kato had left some miscellaneous animal internals on the floor. Only found them when i stepped on them when getting my breakfast

Use advantage. It will soon clear those little buggers out!

Check all the carpets and rugs in the house. Also get some power flea killer from the vet, rather than from the supermarket. We use some pricey once a month drops but i havent seen a flea in years, which was a miracle after an incident with my first long haired cat and the downstairs carpets.

When we first found fleas on him, I gave him a flea powder treatment which he hated but spent about 45 mins combing his furr afterwards, which he loved. checked the carpets and rugs. Any floor-mats went in the bin while the carpets had a flea treatment while we went on holiday.

Sounds extreme but it worked and is pretty much the only way to get rid of them if they get everywhere in the house. The trick is to never let the fleas on the cat but using drops.
