@Kronos haha, a whole planter! I need to grow some. Your like a grandparent, spoils the kids, but can then send them back :p - no vet bills either.

It amuses me that our cats have better medical care than me.

I don't currently have a cat having lost my last to cancer a year ago but that does not mean I am without cat friends as I bribe the local cats with a planter of fresh catnip. This fellow sitting on the planter was/is a bit of a challenge, he has had a rough life and he prefers his own company and is very much an out door cat. His owners do not seem to care much. When I first met him he had taken a liking to my late cat Millie but he was unapproachable, not for the touching whatsoever. But slowly I have won him over so much so he will come in to my flat via the cat flap for a bit of a stroke and a nap but he will still lash out if it takes his fancy.
The other image is of a young cat who rather than helping himself to the catnip will wait on me coming down and cutting a bit off for him.

Ah cat adoption by proxy, theres a BSH cat that visits sometimes he's been nervous but he's calming down I was rewarded with a leg rub the other day.

n.b. sorry to hear you lost millie.

Our newest addition, Jim, he was bang on 8 weeks here, he's now 11 weeks!

Stampy or Ginge. He answers to both! he's 4

And lastly Toffee whos 6, we adopted her with her Brother who we unfortunately lost when they were 2. A bit more arrogant than Stampy but still loves a fuss on her terms!

I was lying in bed watching the Andrew Marr show when I heard a noise at the cat flap. As Buttons who usually comes to see me after moving through the flap I got up to see what was going on to find this young lady.
I opened the door but she did not want to come in or eat a treat but she did want a stroke and is very vocal.

2 old kittys chilling out both 16 year old, just a few weeks apart :)

the orange one gave us a scare recently and had his kidney functions at 25% he has perked up a lot over the last several weeks probably due to renal food and the magical snake oil drops my mum has me giving him :)

he has got stupidly thin but he is eating a lot more now and actually put on a little but he only grazes and the other cat is a right greedy fatty that keeps sneaking his food.

This is our cat Winnie, a 12 year old Persian (13 next month).

He stopped eating middle of the week at some point and was sleeping all the time.

We took him to the vets this morning as he was walking shakely and couldn't lay down. They found a tumor the size of a tennis ball attached to his pancreas. They said he had hours to live and not days.

To say this knocked us of our feet is an understatement. He's never been ill, to go downhill this quickly has shocked as and I can't get over it.

He was put to sleep this afternoon.

Am absolutely devastated, never felt so upset by losing a pet before. He was a larger than life character, acted like a kitten right up to his last few days, such a personality. He'll be sorely missed.
