Show us your kitty cats

Thanks, The house already feels too quiet. I don't want to clear away the litter and food bowls. It just feels wrong.

That's the hardest bit, Also when you go to bed and go "to check on the cat" and they aren't there :(

I found that hard too when Jinx was put to sleep last July. That night I was going to bed and said to my wife, "backdoor is locked, front door is locked, is Jinx in the kitche....and it hit me that she wasn't going to be in the kitchen again :(

He just eats the head -He did eat the body and leave the head but he seems to like head more now.

Whatever is left I just chuck it over the fence into field and it's gone by next day.

Zombie cat!

It's true that many cats particularly like the head. I had a female, years ago, and all she would eat is the head.

Most cats grow out of hunting pretty fast, but a few keep it up.

Here we go again -Weekend/bank holiday.

Hadn't seen Ronnie since 10.00 this morning so come 5.00 we put on survival kit and went out to look for him -Didn't have to go far as he was under a bush in front garden -Went to him and he looked at us but didn't move - so picked him up with a load of growles and hissing and it seems he has hurt his right front leg - He wriggled out of my grasp and went off slowly favouring his right front leg - Well at least his leg isn't broken as he can still walk with it - he wouldn't eat anything -just wanted to go out - being as he jumped up onto window sill I let him out. He is out there now in garden on one of the chairs.
He is sat there looking over the field as though expecting something - Hope it isn't a new Tom cat on the block

Why does this happen on wrong days.

Earlier I went out to get him back in and he had gone down the field so hopped over fence and walked down - went to put my leg over barbed wire and slipped -grabbed barbed wire and it gave me three holes in my hand - Grrrr.

What a difference a day makes.

Ronnie spent the night under dining room table and this morning when he got up his right legs was OK I think but also noticed hair and clump of hair on him so we have come to the conclusion he has been beaten up again.
The scabs on his tail which had almost been covered with new hair looks a bit scraggy as though he has been bitten again but as he is out most of the day we have'nt had chance to check.
If he isn't sleeping or eating he has gone out wondering for the day so checking him over is a hit or miss task.

Anyway he is walking OK from the little we have seen.

Remember these furballs we took on in July last year? Cleo on the left and her brother Oscar or Ozzy as we call him most of the time on the right.

Today is their 1st birthday and they have come on leaps and bounds (often quite literally). They were extremely wild at first as they had very little human contact as the lady we got them from didn't want to get attached to them. They were I wouldn't say aggressive, just very playful and mischievous and I have many scars on my legs to prove it but they eventually settled down and are now very affectionate, gorgeous cats. They are massive now and dwarf our poor little 14 year old Abby who still hates them. Oscar is over 6 kilos and Cleo is 5.5 kg. They love their cuddles and you don't have a choice about it. If there is a lap available they will jump on it. With Ozzy on your lap you soon end up cooked as he is so big he takes up all your lap and more and as his coat is so thick it's like having a electric blanket on you. His coat is beautiful and I don't think I have ever seen another cat with markings like his. It's like one of those marble cakes and his tail is very long too. Whereas Ozzy is a terrifyingly good hunter Cleo is the opposite and mainly a indoor cat and so gentle although she does have her moments. Every now and then she will attack your feet in bed and I have many cuts to prove it. She will jump off the bed and crawl under the covers, normally when you are asleep. You wake up thinking you have had a bad dream then you feel the stinging from the cuts and realise that she has been up to no good again. 99% Of the time she is good as gold and a "little" sweetheart. Here are some up to date pictures:-

This is them chilling at the end of March. Ozzy left, Cleo right doing her "i'm so shy" thing.

Ozzy on my desk a couple of days later. There is a vent at the back of the desk for the hot air to escape and he likes to sit over it for the warm air. He lays his head on my lamp base but I had the cheek to disturb him which is why he is looking up.

Cleo the same day on my old chair.

This is from the end of January but was a very rare moment of peace as Abby (right) let Ozzy climb up on top of the wardrobe and sleep in the bed next to her. I have no idea what on eath he's doing in there!!

These next ones were all taken this morning. This one is a lovely shot of Cleo on our idiot neighbours fence. It shows her face really nicely.

One last close up of Ozzy from this morning. Sometimes he has this "I will kill you human" look on his face.

It's not the weight but the heat that Ozzy chucks out that's the problem. His coat is so thick he makes you sweat.

It wasn't that long that ago that both of them fitted on my lap at the same time. Then they had a growth spurt and one could fit on my lap while the other was part on my lap, part on the arm of the chair. Rapidly it changed to only one of them on my lap and the race for laptime began. :D
