I think they found out he was blind in that eye or something and they removed it. :(

I had to come downstairs and stay in the living room with Jinx when we first got her back, at bedtime the mieowing was breaking my heart :/

Haha his eye is ok actually, when I was stroking him last night he was pushing that side of his face into my hand and it didn't seem to bother him, I avoided it when I could cos I didn't want to irritate it! Stitches are coming out Wednesday.

What happened was when I originally went to see him he had just had a large abscess removed from his face, and the right eye did look slightly bigger but I thought nothing of it. I got a call a week later, the vet had said the eye was blind and was causing him irritation and it had to be removed, it didn't bother me really! He was still the same cat I had met and agreed to take on :)

We haven't made any pirate jokes.....honest :o ;)

I've known quite a few people who had cats which are blind and they turn out to the be the most soppiest cats ever <3 Misty

I like the name as well, have you been quoting Scarface to him? I tend to say random **** to my cats and they just stare at me. I find it funny...yes I'm sad.

Keep us updated on Tony Phate when he decides to come out of his hidey hole :)
 
Na haven't been quoting stuff to him....yet! :D

Yeah if he is that hungry, he'll come out.

It probably won't be the same for you but just be careful he doesn't wolf down his food as one of our cats has been sick twice this week because of it and it also might be down to his fur when he cleans himself (furballs)

We've limited his wet food and tend to give him more dry stuff now.

We kinda got the impression cats like to eat little and often so we have a bowl of biscuits out for him at all times so he gets his meal then can have a nibble during the day as and when :)

Yeah a bowl of biscuits and water. Whiskas in the morning before work and when I get home usually, its hard to try and make sure 4 cats are fed but we couldn't let the neighbours split up the brothers so we took on one and well there other one is practically ours anyways, he spends all his time round here.

I find that when I go to the fridge to get anything even if they have eaten recently then I'll have one of them at my feet and if I get out the chunky chicken for one then the other three appear also. It's like feeding time at the zoo :p

We also have a fifth cat come to our house (we think he's a stray) but he looks healthy, he hasn't been neutured and we can give him a pouch and some biscuits and that'll be gone in less then a minute usually. I should upload the pic I have of who we call Tiger Tim but i cba to find the camera and the pic makes him look deranged.

I should stop ranting now. Just <3 cats though :)

Well I checked on him earlier and gave him a stroke, after a few mins he was purring and loving the attention :) he then came out and had a wonder, then he heard someone knock at the door and he went behind the sofa again...we've gone out now so maybe he's had some dinner :) - we'll be back in soon!
