Weighed them again today at 14 weeks old. Bella is 2kg and Bluey here is 2.5kg. He loves the radiator when it's on :)

Quite big kitties then. Emily, my black cat, the only one I happen to have a weight for, was 1.6Kg at 14 weeks. I have a note here, saying she was putting on weight at about 100g per week at that time.

Some of you may be aware that some random cat decided to move in to my house. He was about the same age as my own cat, and they just clicked. Ever since then, he spent less and less time with his owner. Eventually they gave up, transferred his registration to me.

Welcome, officially, to a new home, Jeremy!

(That's a picture taken when he was a kitten, he is now nearly 1 1/2 years old)

They do seem to be putting on weight at around 150g a week so far, so will probably be fairly big cats. I think ragdolls can get to be around 7kg for females and 9kg for males. They have a healthy appetite anyway :p

The kittens we found got a new home today :)

We took them to our vet to get checked out a couple of weeks ago, and she mentioned that one of their nurses knew someone who had been looking for a couple of kittens. Some phone calls were made, and we arranged to go and meet them today. Lovely family living in a big converted barn next to some woodland and sheep pastures in the middle of nowhere. The kittens settled in straight away, exploring the house and playing with the kids, so I think these little chaps are going to get plenty of love and cuddles (and mice to catch!) :D

It's a Christmas miracle! :D

This little tiger used to belong to my neighbours, he had a polish name that I never managed to work out, sounded a bit like "chewback". He's always been a bit grumpy and bitey with me, so I just started calling him Chewy, he'd wander in the house occasionally if the door was open and was quite often in our garden in the summer but rarely wanted a fuss. My neighbour asked me to feed him a few times when they went away, when I went round there he was a different cat and quite friendly, mainly becuase I was feeding him I suppose but he still came and sat on my lap which was sweet.

So my neighbours had to sell up and move down south for a job and couldnt take the cat as they were renting, they were going to come back for him as soon as they bought a place, this "plan" seems to have got lost in translation with my new neighbour who originally agreed to keep him..... then decided she didnt like cats much and gave him to her son........ who then decided he had an alergy to cats. He then asked me to take the cat else he would have to put him in a shelter!

Me and the Mrs had a chat and decided to take him in. Now at this point the "plan" for my old neighbours to come back and get him was unknown us, so I text them after a few months (luckily I still had his number) to say we were looking after him now and it came to light that they planned to have him back and our new neighbours had no right to do what they did. Anyway it was all a bit awkward, eventually they decided he was happy with us and knew the area and gardens and that we should keep him.

So, I still call him Chewy but he doesnt bite me anymore, in fact I think he really quite likes me. He is a tiger of a cat, although he looks in proportion he weighs just over a stone at 6.5kg. He's got quite long hair for a short hair cat, he sleeps right side up in the winter and upside down in the summer, presuambly his radiator is in his belly.

We've had him 3 years now and he spends most of his time asleep :)
