Show us your kitty cats

Here's an old image of our first cat called "Spike" celebrating his 18th - sadly we lost him a few months after this but he certainly had a good innings:

Yes! One of mine does exactly the same. He will slowly reduce any box to ground level. Funny thing is that he looks like her too.. albeit more black. Here he is, just starting on a new box.....

Mine flattens the box without biting the edges, she just lies in it until it eventually gives out and becomes flat.

I've found these to be the best replacement:

There's a few variants of it in tkmaxx and some other places. I stick it in front of a heater and success, cat sleeps whilst I work without a mess, although mine don't usually tear into cardboard scratchers anyway.

Camocat!! I had to look twice there, first I thought why's he posting a piccy of a TV? I went back to it and eventually noticed the eyes.

This is his sister. Does anyone else's cat do this ?

My boy, Ozzy the destroyer does this. We got them one of those Garfield cardboard houses with a corrugated cardboard scratch box in the bottom and all around the entrance/exit there are teeth marks. He was terrible as a kitten, every toy we bought him and his sister was destroyed within a day, sometimes as little as a hour!! I thought right you heathen I will get you something you can't destroy and bought a dog toy. It had a thick rubber ring with thick rope attached at either end like one of those toys you have a tug of war with your dog. Within a week all that was left was the rubber ring!!

Here are my 2 maine c00n kitten brothers Rufus & Aslan, they're about 18 months old now and growing fast!
How do you find they are like in the winter\rain?

I have a female cat that is long haired and she is a indoors cat but recently she has wanted to go out. As a result I wonder what she would be like if they got soaked in the rain or wet in a sudden down pour.

2 of them today have decided to camp out in front of the TV and have a snooze!

She is a bugger and has gone through all the rope on the scratch post twice. I wound on some more at the weekend which she immediately started scratching.
Never thought about dog toys, will be looking now though, Thanks.

They don’t give 2 hoots about the rain at all, both will quite happily sit in the middle of the garden in a rain storm and get drenched. Not so fun for us as we end up with muddy kitten prints all over the downstairs floors!

Nice, just what you want lol

I took my mum's cat to the vet earlier. He doesn't like being in a box and hurt himself trying to get out.

He is an 8kg tom, with no fat and very intimidating. The vet wouldn't get him out of he box, so a wasted trip.

Surprisingly calm once he got back

Came home from work one day to find my (tom) cat with multiple bloodstains on him, most of it wasn't his, but his inner eye had a tear.

Obviously been fighting with another cat.

Decided to get him fixed, and he quietened down after that.
