New car for the wife. Honda Civic 1.8 iVTEC SE (FK2) with full leather. Shame they didn't put this engine in the CRZ. Magic seats offer great flexibility aswell.

It's like buying a really nice painting and putting some tipex on it :(

I needed a diesel, this came up, liked the look and thought why not. I understand where you are coming from and yes it isn't the v6 it's a loud transit dag dag underneath.

Still nice and the best colour :)

Hope things go better this time for you.

I hope so too. After the Honda episode I really researched and looked into things but missed the rough idle on this. :o I'll get it seen to anyways as I think for the spec and money it's worth while. Seller was nice and honest, and he even said bring it back if you're not happy.

I'll keep him updated but I should be able to get warranty on this right? Worth having for the peace of mind.

EDIT: rjkoneil, unfortunately I was with the whole ATR ownership. I bought a lemon, enough to put me off. I needed something comfortable etc so went for the mondeo as my cousin kept banging on and on about how great it is. I may regret getting the TDCI over the v6, but to be honest, even the accord was cleaning my wallet sometimes and I wasn't happy filling up a car I wasn't happy on. Needless to say, I've learnt a lot and realised mistakes I've made on the previous car purchase. The common problems on the Mondeo are not enough to put me off, but enough to make me know what to expect if it does go belly up.

No warranty is worth it.

Warranty Direct will not like the mileage and will still riddle their way out of paying for it, if owt does go wrong.

Just put a couple of quid away each month.

I put £50 away each month for cars breakdowns, consumable's.

I do that myself. I'll see what they say, no harm in asking to be honest. Will look around to see who's cheapest for injectors, but the car has FSH from Ford. Drives great, and as expected will always have niggles.

You'd just better hope the rough idle isn't being caused by something expensive to fix like the DMF.

Looks like a lovely car though..hope you get it sorted cheaply.

DMF :(

My old Megane's cost over £1k to replace. The car was only worth 2k.

Fingers crossed its not that, although I don't know if it's as costly on the mondeo. Would have thought so though.

Looks like the OEM 330i exhuast tips to me? Whats wrong with them?

Are they? They look like they stick out a mile from the bumper.

If they are standard then I can't say I've ever noticed another 330i with them that obviously stuck out beyond the bumper.
