Not at all, this is how it has been ever since the first car was made.

Correct, however most large automakers are largely in sync with each other, Kia was a good decade behind, so to gain ground they have clearly ripped off European designs.

Clearly.... Nearly all of the cars from them today are a rip off design of a big brand car.

Who and what have they exactly ripped off? Just because they have catched up quickly doesn't mean they ripped someone off completely. Last time I looked all manufacturers borrow stuff off each other, its how the game works, and whether someone was a decade behind is irrelevant.

Kia were bought out by Hyundai and had massive cash injected and loads of new people hired in to change their fortunes, so the investment has worked. Props to them.

Totally agree about the tyres. Think I'll be going for 225/40 18 next time to protect the rim more. 215/35 18 at the moment.

Gave mine a thorough going over today although annoyingly had no wax to finish off the car after washing it Fitted a new air filter and pollen filter too. Thought I would post up a gallery. It's an old car but I really like the shape of the mk3.
