I've got a real soft spot for these. Very rare and fairly quick standard.

Much prefer your version as it looks much more agressive from the front. The mk1 was too subtle which isn't always a bad thing for some.

Has yours been remapped? Or fully stock?

I like both the mk 1 and 2 for the reasons you said above but if I were to get one I think the mk 2 edges it for me and the tax is a little bit better!
 
I still don't understand the CRZ to Mazda upgrade path. Genuinely not trolling. What other cars did you shortlist?

I know the CRZ wasn't quick but they're pretty interesting in terms of styling and the hybrid engine. The Mazda is just a fast hatch and I bet it rarely gets a second look?

I wanted to change to a fast hatch. So looked at Fn2 CW, impreza WRX-S(sti was too much to buy/insure), Leon Cupra etc and if course the MPS

I like my jap cars and I like cars which are slightly different to the norm, be that good or bad, so the mps was a good fit.

It has great power, tunability, kit and reasonable running costs and fitted into my budget well. Winner all round for me!

That as got to be the best looking mini (out of the new lot).

Besides it was about looks. It was all about driving experience.

Hey all,

Aside from my love of things computery I'm also a massive petrolhead. Over the (many) years I've had loads of fun cars (which I'd love to wax lyrical about) but recently times have been hard and had to wave goodbye to my most fun car of all time.

So just got an MX5 mk1 1.6 as a cheap but fun run around. It's the 5th least powerful car I've ever owned and the 3rd smallest engine. but they really are little gokarts these mx5s. thrashing it at the limit is great fun and the lack of power doesn't really detract from the fun. Though it is making bullying ***** m3 drivers hogging the middle lane, much harder to abuse. :rolleyes:

So what do you enjoy driving?
Do you ever do anything interesting with your car?
and are you a member of any clubs or race meetings etc?
