2k car will be about 5/6k once shipped, insured, duty paid and registered.

What does a £6k Nissan Laurel do that a £6k Mercedes S500, BMW 745i or Audi A8 not do comprehensively better?

Genuinely interested as I've never seen one before, know nothing about it, but it has to be fairly special to be worth spending a pile importing it?

Horses for courses I guess.

I know nothing about the Laurel but the Soarer falls in to the same category and I'm saving to import one at the moment.

For me I'd rather a soarer over those youve listed due to looks (Subjective I know), tuning potential, rarity and I suppose reliability, especially given all the things on a soarer likely to throw a big bill are only found on the V8 models.

The only thing I can thing of in those you listed would be interior build quality, but then nobody buys a Jap car for the interior

edit: If I had the money I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

And I agree I'm a bit mental that I'd happily spend 14k on a 20 year old car

Good searching there to find it haha!

Have a contact in Japan so he sorts everything that side. All That needs doing this side is collect from the docks then MOT and register it.

What does it do better than the merc/audi? Nothing I guess, all depends what kind of thing you're looking for. It's a fairly well specced car for the money, Bride Gias seats, manual RB25 Neo, Aftermarket diff, clutch, coilovers and SSR wheels, but, it could well turn out to have problems when it gets here which are kind of hidden costs. It was bought via yahoo (ebay equivalent) so you can't really inspect the car or have a data sheet like the auctions just rely on seller information and photos.

The car will cost considerably more than £2k on the road over here. Worst case it has a lot of expensive parts so it could be broken if worst came to the worst.

Edit/ buying from Japan is risky if you don't have a contact or a good knowledge of how it works

I noticed you had an R34 on the lift behind the Vitara. Did you import that as well? Is that a work shed or a community shed? Who owns it? I MUST KNOW MORE!

PS: I would rather have something with an RB turbo than an inline 6 beemer. But sssh. Blasphemy!

Why would you have a C35 over a JZX? I'll bet it's a fun drive though, I can approve of anything with a diff, bucket, suspension and some power.

I would have either or. But if I was going for a Chaser, I'd want one from the early 80s simply because I prefer the shape. I think the C35 is better looking as a VIP motor than the Chaser of the same age.

Problem is you won't find a 100 or 110 with these kind of modifications for this kind of money. There's a jzx on the way which is highly modified but it's a lot more money than this was
