Show Us Your Motors!

Not a thing. Only got rid on Saturday lol.

Slighy change taking place career wise. So not in any rush to get back onto the road right now.

My second long drive out in my Dad's MGB. Very strange driving a car I was driven around in as a child (he bought it the same year I was born) but I had fun bumbling about in the countryside with it.

Taken at the bridge that was used in the Great Train Robbery.

Dunno if this is for show your motors or daily encounters but it will be mine eventually (not too soon I hope).

Brand new 430D MSport Gran Coupe. As a breakdown, this is a 5 door version of the 2 door version of the 4 door 3 series. Not to mention there already is a 3 series hatch in the shape of the GT, and an estate...not sure there are enough options?

First impressions are that it's actually pretty darn quick, 254bhp and 0-60 in 5.4 seconds thanks to the 8 Speed auto, and of course being a hatch it's fairly practical:

Interior is imo a huge step down from the e92 in general feel and you can tell it is heavily based on the 1 series. This is a far cry from the f10 5 series i had over the weekend which was fantastically put together imo.

This is a courtesy car as mine is being repaired after a volvo tboned me on Thursday! It pulled out of a side street without looking, straight into the side of me, spinning me 90 degrees and causing a substantial amount of damage to the door and rear quarter, including the wheel which is now sat at a very strange angle.

That looks cracking. My Dad's one (which I think you've spotted in some of my pics before) is in the middle of being stripped to a shell for a bare metal respray.. Keeping the orange colour. He was set on keeping the rubber bumpers for originality (:() but when he took them off he found the metal innards had turned to dust... turns out replacements are going to cost more than a chrome conversion. But he still wants to keep the rubber ones. Makes me want to cry

I have noticed it, yeah. About a grand for a set of new ones - madness.

Why the hell would it be on a Tuesday?????

I must have got confused with another show... :p Theres to many ford shows :D

Oh and lots of people saying don't use gelbadges.com

e; Doh, I know what I did. I looked in haste and looked at September as thats when FordFest is and the 2nd of September is a Tuesday :p

Re-painted the lexus bumpers last week, and finished building the mr2 engine a few weeks back, and put it in.. just running it in for 1000miles before it goes for mapping, done 600 already.

Like the MGB Janesy, really nice example, I too would de-sticker it and take some of the badges off the front grill (period touches or not).

Also love the blue MR2 above, in a very 90s Jap sort of way, what spec is the engine and what sort of power will it see when finished? :D

 That's going to be insane. Mine feels extremely quick to me and it's 200BHP less than yours is going be, can't imagine what a 500BHP+ would feel like.
