Show Us Your Motors!

Yeah, baby dictates 5 doors and estate means lots of space.
I need a diesel too as we do a lot of long trips.

Got it off a mate for €2000, so can't really complain about that.
2005 1.9 PD TDI 130.

1st owner installed a gnarly Pioneer HU with decent sound, Bluetooth audio and whatnot so that's pretty good.

That must be a mega deal over there, thats UK prices for one of those :)

only off putting thing is that it's vectra vxr in drag.

This is only what people say who've spent too much time reading Internet forums. The engine is the same as in the vectra but otherwise there's so little in common with the vectra underneath. Having owned 2 93s and driven a vectra, I can assure you they drive nothing like each other. They feel completely different, look completely different, have a way nicer (albeit a bit marmite) interior... Different suspension and brakes, different electronics....

The whole "vectra in drag" thing gets regurgitated so often but it's pretty much nonsense - the commonality between those cars is nothing like what you see between VAG group cars, I think people who have never driven them expect it to be like the golf/Leon similarity

mjt, I think you need a new camera!
Yeah, I need to take my iPotato apart and clean the dust out of the lens. It's shocking.

Mates rates! I've had to fetch it from Norway though and I spent €500 on a big service and rear pads. Also has a slight coolant leak and the rear doors don't open, but he'll cover those costs.

He originally asked me to sell it for him, but it's the perfect car for me right now. I would've advertised at €3500, realistically expecting 3k. It's 'only' done 120k miles and I was there when he bought it 2 years ago. Solid car :)

Forgot how bloody agricultural those PD units are though, especially after 6 years of petrols :p

Saab turbo x xwd wagon. 280bhp dess. Quite rare, only off putting thing is that it's vectra vxr in drag.

A stereotypical response from someone who knows nothing about Saabs.

My dog/child/load lugger. Cost me a total of 3k. That includes fixing all the little niggles and a Noobtune remap. 275BHP is plenty for UK roads and I have averaged 27MPG since I bought it in February.

When you think about it, in the UK we really are spoiled for choice when it comes to quick estates. There's something for everyone at every price point. Off the top of my head there's the 3.2 4motion passat, r36 passat, the new twn turbo diesel passat, leon ST, octavia vrs, superb 3.6, audi s and rs motors, alfas, bmw 3s and 5s, ford st220, jag sportbrake, various merc amgs, mitzy legnums, nissan stagea, saab turbos, scooby impreza and legacy wagons, and volvo 850s and v70s.

What does 1352BHP worth of S54s singing through forest-y roads and hills sound like?

Surprised you went for it, no comfort seats would have been a deal breaker :p

Did the Mustang go in for a facelift?;)

Surgeon looked at her and declared he couldn't improve anything ;)

I guess on a serious note relating to that, lots of Mustang owners have all sorts bolted on, I don't think I want to. I toyed with putting a low scoop on it, but I think I prefer it's sleek, stylish but also aggressive look as it is.

If it was a loud colour, perhaps slap more things on it, but not as it is.

Maybe a CAI and tune at some point, but for now it has plenty enough power for me.

That looks a beast! love the way it just sits on the road

Thanks :)
