I watched a video on Youtube with a guy putting a V8 motor in his RX7 on his drive way. It was... a bit of a bodge. BIg gnarly bit of steel welded and bolted across the bottom of the engine bay to stop it falling out. All I could think was "enough people have done such a swap... surely there's a proper affordable mounting kit?". Still went like stink though.
Nice 3, I've been contemplating an upgrade to a second-gen from my first-gen Mazda3 Sport but annoyingly they don't do a 2.0 petrol, only a 1.6 or the 2.3 turbo in the MPS. The 1.6 would feel like quite a step down I think and the 2.3 is a bit much on running costs.
I was originally looking for a budget e90 330i but there were so few with xenons and sport seats and I thought they looked a bid off with the eyebrows above the grills.
Ended up spending 5.5k on this - e92 325i se with 80k miles, doesn't have much spec but has sports seats, suspension and its an early model so has hydraulic steering, really liked the the colour combo too.

I dont think its a deal of the century there are plenty around 6k on autotrader its just finding one that's been looked after. Its a 56 plate and only has an MOT until January but has a good service history, bridgestones all round.
so far I've put new wipers on it and changed the battery as it was cranking slowly and looked like the original.

Just happens there are as the Septics have been doing this swap for a long time. There are now 4 main kits available though two are best avoided. I imported my Samberg kit and there's also an active forum for these norotors.com
