Quickie of mine from a while back:
Plus the old car we got rid of last year, D reg, 165k on it, despite rust issues on the sills it ran nicely, as much as a lot of people here would have hated the thought, I do regret not buying it, putting a Cheapish Golf GTI engine in, nicer wheels and dropping it a little bit for a laugh, nothing penski like, just to make it sit nicer
(It wasn't lowered, rear suspension was knackered )

Considering whatw e sold it for, thats not saying much, but yeah I know whatcha mean, did tell them to chuck the steelies on and sell them seperate, but they wouldn't have any of it!

Nice car, if you saw that in your rearview mirror on the motorway you'd think "wow that looks mean" but then the side profile comes along and the small alloys with bubble tyres let it down

Yup, the profile of the side and back seems to have been "phoned in" with emphasis on the front. The side profile is very similar to this style of megane:

It's excellent - plenty of power, never fails to put a smile on my face
EDIT: Just seen your Lupo GTi - looks well tidy, I always had a soft spot for them (almost bought one).

The one thing the Lupo is missing is power, and extra 50bhp or so would go down a treat!
