How does ABS work on a mechanically operated brake?
Not really to my taste, the rear bumper and the wheels (they look too small and protrude too far at the back?) ruin it for me. But it is undeniably cool.![]()

The aux belt snapped on my Volvo the other day.
By the time I pulled over the battery was basically dead, was just before I completely lost the power steering.
No handbrake as no power to engage it but was on a flat road so no drama so just put in park.
Managed to get it on the tow truck, electronic key has to be in to take it out of park, just managed this to get it on the tow truck.
Had to go back into park as the handbrake would not engage.
Then couldn't get the key out as that's electronic so the lights stayed on draining the last bit the battery had.
Then the driver had to wait about 15 mins at the dealership whilst they charged the battery enough to get it out of park and off the lorry
Tbh I assume you cant engage the handbrake if the brakes fail whilst driving so guess you just coast??
None of this was a massive issue but just funny watching all the issues created by the electronic systems.
However for day to day they make my life easy so its all good.
Just need to get it jacked up 12-18" and then get the wheels poking out a bit more nowThat seems to be the thing to do with pickups around here.
Very cool truck.
Who cares about the handbrake when stopped? It's automatic, slap it in park and be done with it.
If you need to disengage Park to Neutral just pop out the little tab on the gear stick surround and and use the override.
Always wanted a Turbocharged car was looking at scoobies but they are a bit too common plus I prefer Hot Hatches so went for that instead.
Not too bad somewhere near 300bhp and yes the car weighs 1350kig with 4 wheel drive, so it moves.
On the mini? That's how it came from factory. They actually did some aero work on the GP as the underside of the car has been flattened off. The spoiler is genuine CF.
