Can anyone else see the outline of an ant-eater in the bonnet? Front mid/right.

Nope, 1.6s suck. Even with boost
Took me a minute to spot that. The blue part is the reflection of a telephone wire, the red is a smudge probably from when I had the bonnet up

Superchargers don't count, you don't really lose/gain much compared to a 1.8.
Turbos on 1.6s do suck though, you end up with less torque everywhere and slow spool, of you can have less torque everywhere keep the spool and nothing up top

There's a good 500rpm difference between a 1.6 and 1.8 on a 2554, I'd expect a similar difference with a TD04.I dunno, the 1.6/td04 setup I drove was very responsive. I'm used to a man size turbo that doesn't make full boost until 4000 though
If I had a set of rods I'd certainly swap to something more man sized than the TD04 though

The 9J rears and 8J fronts will be replaced with 7J's somewhen, and those arch flares will be going and be replaced with some less in-your-face ones as well. But in the mean time, I don't mind the look!

Its OK, the more I look at it the worse it gets.
If the alloys had about an inch less dish at the front, and two inches less dish at the back, and the arch flares were less wide and didn't have the rivets on them, it would be much better.
