Show Us Your Motors!

Moving on after a year with her, sad times.

I just didn't get the "it's something special" feeling. When I wasn't especially limited by budget and would rather have something that makes me smile when I walk up to it. Let alone drive it.

Of course you didn't get the it's special feeling, it's a Ford Fiesta not an Alfa 4c. The special is in the way it drives, which you didn't bother to do.

It is all well and good if it drives amazingly, but if it doesn't appeal to me aesthetically inside and out then it will lose my custom. Which the Fiesta did not.

Looks a bit... Disproportionate with those wheels, that ride height, and the little twin exit exhaust. :p

Might be cos its on a slope. :p

Got rid of our old golf as the missus now has a company car, split the £2k and got this for 800 quid.

It's a Sport Ka, which is a Ka with a 1.6 focus engine. 80k and rust in the usual places around the petrol cap and the boot but nothing too major. I only need it for a 10 mile daily commute and wanted something cheap and fun(ish).

good job its not the 1.3l as they are awful, probably feels pretty quick with a 1.6. shame it still has the rubbish steering wheel on the sport version!

The steering wheel always looks like it's upside down, but it is leather!!

It is pretty fun to drive tbh and 99% of the time it's actually quicker than my golf as I never have it above 50-60. The 0-60 time is 9.something where the golf 1.6 was 10 or 11 something.
Still, as it stands if it lasts me a couple of years I'll be happy.

Oh, and its the only one I've spotted with the red inserts instead of blue, which is a bonus :p

So I needed a cheap runaround and this popped up locally.

Owned by an elderly woman who hasn't driven it in over a year and has just been left to sit in the garage.

This was after a clean as it was absolutely manky.

It's came up a treat. A few scratches on the front bumper and just needs 2 tyres and a new headunit as I can't live without bluetooth.

Best bit... 34,000 miles and a FSH all for the princely sum of £1000.

Worst bit... It's ****ing slow!

Quick one cos I'm very happy with how the front end is looking now. :)

First pic when I first got it, second one today!
