Sad to hear that Housey. Do you think you just got a lemon or a 'friday afternoon' car?

Did you take your 570S interest any further and go for a drive?

:o Have already lit up the tyres on the way to work this morning, thank the lord for traction control.

Because of interest rates these cars are very accessible at the moment. McLaren brum were telling me 12Cs are available on finance with £22k down and £600 a month over 2 years.

Even I could afford that.. xD not the running costs when things go wrong tho ;) or insurance. Beautiful bit of kit, not a car I'd choose for that money but I'm very much a Porsche fan.. what did it replace?

Firstly thank jebus it wasn't you!

Secondly that is very affordable. Explains why there are more of them on the road.

Nothing replaced as such, just a 2nd/3rd car. Will try to use it as much as possible when it's just me or me +1.

Equivalent of £1,500 a month and walk away with nothing? Rather not myself :p

True, i would rather spend the 36k on a 911 / XKR / Early R8.

After Housey's experiences I think I'd rather drive the McLaren under warranty.

Having "nothing to show for it" isn't true either, it depends entirely on whether or not having the pleasure of driving the McLaren for 3 years is enough to show for it or not. You have "nothing to show" for spending £5k+ on a decent holiday, but the experiences and memories make it worth the spend.

Whilst i agree with the sentiment and this will come down to personal opinion, but i'd class 36k a high price to pay for memories (which is all they would ever be), i'd rather put that money towards another house rent it out and use the equity to buy an equivalent car outright in later life.

However you buy a car like this it's going to be expensive, there's no "cheap" way as such. I've budgeted that this will cost ~50-60k over 2-3 years in depreciation.

Then an ~£80k balloon payment?
